Forza Horizon 3 will be delisted(due to expiring car licenses) today September 27 so Xbox has placed the game on sale at the Xbox/MS store on PC

Forza Horizon 3 Standard Edition: $9.89 (usually $40, 67% off)
Forza Horizon 3 Ultimate Edition: $21 (usually $70, 70% off)
Forza Horizon 3 Expansion Pass: $10.49 (usually $35, 70% off)

https://www.microsoft.com/en-US/p/forza-horizon-3-ultimate-edition/9nblggh4rq1k?activetab=pivot:overviewtab

Get it while you can.

If you want all the achievements you need to get Ultimate + Expansion Pass + Hoonigan Car Pack. The latter which is not part of Ultimate and Expansion pass unfortunately is not on sale and costs $6.99. It provides 10 achievements.

https://www.trueachievements.com/game/Forza-Horizon-3/dlc/Hoonigan-Car-Pack

I believe the Porsche car pack and Mountain Dew Car pack is also not included with Ultimate or Expansion pass but are not necessary for achievements.

I would also recommend claiming the Duracell GTA Spano dlc which is free to get before it gets delisted.

Only 4 hours left before permanent delisting at least from my region(NA) CST.

Shame Not Windows 7 Support nor Steam version. Since I have a Glitch, bug or whatever you want to call it with Windows 10 that every Time, I restart from Windows 10 my Screen stays Black until Welcome screen but on Windows 7 I don't have.

BTW the should have sell it 90% off or even better give it for Free... Since It will be useless for them anyways.

Ooh! Micro$$$oft! :l

FH3 is the first Forza Horizon game that was not offered free with XBL's Games with Gold sub before getting delisted.

It maybe because it is a popular game that sold many copies on Xbox and PC. FH2 and FM6's dlc collections sold well before delisting in the previous years, so they probably thought there would be increased demand for the game before it got delisted.

It is also the first FH title that is part of the Play Anywhere library allowing you to buy the game once and play it on either PC or Xbox.

They can no longer offer the game even for free after September 27 because the car licenses for the game has expired.

Well they have to make sure the people who didn't jump on the "Free Windows 10" spyware bandwagon had a good reason to get their ticket.

It was not about Steam, but it was still a very useful information for me. Thanks for it!

Damn, saw this too late. What are my options now to get the game?

Key reseller sites.

Naming them is against rules here.

this is actually true!
Reselling keys and links to reseller stores. Do not use our site to resell keys, and do not post offers from stores which allow third parties to resell their keys or gifts. For example, do not ask others if they are interested in buying your leftover keys from a recent bundle purchase, or link to keys for sale on sites such as Kinguin, G2A, or Eneba.

thank you for the heads up

If you have an Xbox console or plan to get one, you can still buy physical disc copies on ebay and amazon.

As mentioned there are some grey market reseller sites that you might be able to get a key for still but I can't mention them here. I can PM them to you if you add me on steam.

I have this problem with Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast & Furious It's was a free addon for FH2 but it's delisted for some reason. Also Forza 6 Apex seems to have been deprecated meaning it's hard to impossible to get some of the achievements for this game.

First world problem but one of the more annoying ones...

Haha yes that is true. It's 2020 and I worry about FH3. Maybe I should get my priorities straight ;)

Better to pirate it than giving your money to key resellers.
This is also the opinion of many developers, so...

Really? Why is that?

I wonder how many cars in 3 are no longer still licensed with the IP that this would be a reality (since it's an active IP still). In related news, I also wonder how many times devs/pubs use the licensing excuse when it isn't actually a licensing issue, but rather an issue of them not wanting to keep the servers up and not wanting to say that.

That might be true for other publishers but Microsoft has promised to kept the servers up for their first party games all the way to the Xbox 360 gen including the Forza Horizon 1 and 2.

They are in the business of providing cloud gaming services so servers is not a problem with them.

I don't think sever costs are remotely close to the licensing costs.

question: will they close servers? i was playing forza 4 and its a online game. What if they close servers(they will for sure in future)?

Is it online-only, though? I'm not familiar with the series, but I thought you could play them offline. Otherwise they wouldn't be available on the high seas, no?

It's not only online but I take it online is the main draw once you get through the initial "campaign" They update the game with challenges each month which partly will need online to be completed but I take it they will stop with those as well as they did with FH3.

Microsoft has promised not to close their first party servers up to the Xbox 360 gen because they support back compatibility.

got it little days ago i pay it 12,20€ (i make 10€ with ms points rewards) but what i not understand is if hot wheels will be removed from store too or not ?!?! p.s. this game is good also to be used as a flight simulator haha i do some fly awesome with my car :D

is for 3 https://news.xbox.com/en-us/2017/04/26/fh3-hot-wheels-expansion/ , but if i not remember wrong it can be played also if the gamer\customer not buy own FH3 , without buy FH3 before is possible to play only hot wheels and play it, as a "standalone" , so why i not understand if they remove it or not.

This said i totally understand your mistake and i'm habit to do it too, in my opinion ALL the videogames industry has Esagerate to abuse the "Split Content" model (dlcs etc.) so is easy for a normal customer (like me) to do mistakes in this , it's impossible to track all separated content released and top of this some companies use strategy of "confusion marketing" and "brainwash marketing" so because it's not a clear\honest way to sell things in this way is easy for customers do fail to remember something especially if about DLCS that in 1 month is released in hundreds if not thousands in these days...
Also i think sadly very soon internet\communications\phone companies will follow the split content too by limit what people can access and make it pay in separated packet.

i hope\think at least in europe the european commision one day do something for stop this,in my opinion a product must be selled only when\if is complete , in other industry that is not about videogames , if you sell a product not finished it will be declared as a Fraud\Scam ... but in videogames industry sell incomplete product it's a normal thing,in my opinion this is wrong.
if you create a game and is complete sell it , if your game is not complete so not sell it...wait to sell it when is finished...

Top of this some publishers apply region lock but this is and must to be illegal, remove freedom to customers and rights to enjoy what people buy, without to talk about lootboxes, microtransactions and all other bad things that is always only about business\money but create a toxic market.
someone make a game expensive to produce? ok sell it at $1000€ you create it you choose the price can sell it also at $100.000.000€ if you want...,. but not that u give it at 10€ or "FakeFREEtoplay" and then fraud kids with in-game pay-currencies,pay-lootbox surprise,pay-level up etc.. this is a fraud scam toxic way to sel things NOT HONEST and i really not understand how until now this is possible and no one stop this,is absurd.

And about FH3,if the problem is about the copyright\license of some music, they can just remove the music, both PC and XBOX is already able to play music owned byself so... i not see reason for remove an entire game for this,bah.... for me looks like an excuse\lie for force people to buy the new expensive forza that is coming (forza8\forzahorizon5 etc.) by disable them to access the old and buy it for cheap.
