Great start to the tournament, pretty drunk right now, getting ready for Englands first game tomorrow. I feel like a child at Christmas!

We'll probably only get to the quarter finals like usual, but in typical English fashion I have the drunk optimism of winning the whole thing! Who's your pick for the winner? I'll probably change my mind after tomorrows game against Russia!

Level 3+ bundle game

SUCH a good way to start the tournament, if Romania weren't going to win, that's how i'd want them to lose. Payet crying as well! Footballs so good!

Celebration in the pub but I sensible came home to eat bread(pizza) to stop me from being horrible for the main event tomorrow, I won't be happy unless I wake up on a golf course naked.

That wasn't a sentence, try again, There was a celebration in the pub when France scored just because it was dramatic. I've come home early tonight so I'm not hungover tomorrow for England Vs Russia.

Before the last game my main pick would've been France for sure, but after this game they left me on a question mark. Of course maybe it's due to the fact that it's the first game of the tournament, which of course shouldn't be too much of a factor as most of these players have basically played without any break, especially Griezmann. Maybe it was also due to the Romanian side, which didn't seem to be playing that bad, I really want to see how things fold in group A, as if I would be Switzerland I wouldn't be that confident about leaving the group. But I still believe that France can possibly deliver.
My 2nd pick which is more or less a dark horse- Portugal. Of course many can argue that it's hard to call them a dark horse as they have arguably the best player of the whole tournament at their side, but many would also agree that it's hard to lift this throphy with just one incredible leader and one leader seems to be a trend in this EURO as the same goes for Sweden, Poland, Whales and probably some ather country I can't recall. But as for Portugal as my 2nd pick. I simply saw the way they played their last friendly against Estonia, even after Ronaldo being subbed off in the 2nd half the Portugal were still able to continue their dangerous attacks, mostly because of the great game that Quaresma had and in my opinion it's something that this Portugal team needs, someone of high quality who can set up Ronaldo, as in WC 2012, He simply had nobody that worked him into the positions, instead He had to be the supplier most of the time which ended in Portugals rather bad performance. But if they can show the same type of game that they showed against Estonia, I really would place my bet on them.
TL:DR I'm kinda a Ronaldo fanboy, for now.

I've tried to read this like 4 times but my eyes aren't working proper.

Queresma! I haven't heard his name for years and years! The same one who played for Barca?

I don't think Ronaldo can win the tournament on his own, only Maradona has ever really managed to do that in the history of football. The new format will see some shocks as well, I wouldn't be surprsied to see a big team go out early.

It is indeed the very same one who played for Barcelona. It's quite obvious that anyone who can even get in the system of Barcelona has a huge potential/talent, unfortunately at the time He wasn't able to maintain his form and in about 20 appereances managed to score only once, which then bascially led to a downhill of his career, but before that He was even often compared to Ronaldo with who He started his career and experts often said that He's the higher quality player.
During the last friendly I saw the glimpse of this huge talent, if only Nani could connect to attack even better, then I would go all-in with Portugal lifting the cup.

Not looking back at it I was quite on point.

Dunno, other than my fellow countrymen, (whose win is really improbable) I don't have a horse in this race. But I like me some nice feel-good story, so maybe Iceland, because they are the little engine that could.

Everything can happen, see 2004 with Greece.

Eidur Gudjohnson was a legend at my club, absolute hero, he even came back to us for a bit last year. He got in the Iceland side, we got relegated to League One. I'm confident that screenshot will safely not come back to bite me in my naked arse.

They were going to struggle to keep hold of him without him having a good tournament, if he continues to do well I wouldn't be surprised to see him leave. Though as Mahrez and Vardy have already proven by rejecting moves to Arsenal, money isn't as big as a factor as it used to be in the Prem with the new TV money making every club super rich.
