exactly. it should be common knowledge if u mess with Steam you shouldnt start vac guarded games.
Just use Steam idle master for card farming.
Then again, this could have happened to me. I still use SAM on some occasions and I play CSGO a lot. Mistakes are easily made. I removed SAM from my gaming rig so it wont happen to me ;). My laptop cant run fps.

SAM and Steam Idle Master work on the same principle.
You shouldn't use any of them if you start a VAC game just to be safe.

Well some people might have a complete achievement ocd, and some achievements are just impossible or broken (and often they don't get fixed), it's not always just cheating and bad.
You won't get Vac banned if you do things right, says so on the warning.

I wouldn't even cheat that, I'd feel like I didn't actually deserve it.
The only time I'd unlock an achievement with SAM is if I genuinely achieved it, but the game didn't register it. And even then, I'd usually try to reachieve it a couple of times first

Getting VAC banned for using SAM is just about the stupidest thing you could possibly do. Ever heard of not cheating on an online game? What about not using an external program when playing a VAC enabled game?
Don't use SAM, not because you'll get banned (you won't unless you're being stupid). Don't use it because it skews the numbers so true achievement hunters have a harder time to understand how rare an achievement truly is. I want my 0,1%s, gosh darn it!

It's very simple actually. There are sometimes games which have broken achievements, which can not be obtained legally. These usually are obtained however by 0.2% of the players. So, that's the number of people that will use SAM to always cheat all their achievements: 0.2% - you can always subtract that value from the number of people steam tells you obtained a achievement to have the correct value. Basically you can completely ignore that there are a handful of people out there cheating achievements, they really don't matter at all. Choose not to bother and you should sleep much better from now on ;-)
