What would you say are some of the most powerful and moving pieces of music you have heard in movies?
Since I have a bit of a things for those kinds of music, I thought I'd ask what SG thinks about this.
I know I am going to see Alan Siventri's Endgame theme The Real Hero here so I thought I'd post it first.
Wow. Even now the music still brings a tear to my eyes. I admit it. I hope he wins for best music.

Thanks for sharing. My reaction:
Second one is so beautiful
"Here's to you" from the MGS4 OST first pops into my head. Years ago I was super thrilled for Metal Gear Solid 4 to play but did not own a PS3. Some day, my friend came buy for a gaming session and he already almost finished it. Since I was a big fan I wanted to see the last minutes of gameplay which turnd out to be epic, followed by almost film lenght cutscenes. It was so breathtaking. I immediately looked for the OST and from then on, this song stuck with me til today,
Jean-Pierre Taieb - Running after my fate/ LYRICS (The Divide soundtrack)
Guys, just post the full link.
Has to count for something when people can know a song without ever seeing the film it came from:
Kholat OST is one of my favorites. Her voice is so calm. 😍
Look up "Two Steps From Hell", they make a LOT of the more powerful movie soundtracks.
This is definitely one of them.
Dancer in the Dark - I've seen it all
Game: Mission To The Asteroid, first track from the OST for The Dig by Michael Land (rest of the OST is more mellow)
Movie: The entire Interstellar OST, by Hans Zimmer
Movie: The three interlude movements (Making Of Cyborg, Ghost City and Reincarnation) from the OST for Ghost In The Shell by Kenji Kawaii
Movie: Entire Akira OST by Geinoh Yamashirogumi (it's an ensemble, not a person), specially the two longest tracks
Game: First track from the Ascendancy OST by Nenad Vugrinec
Game: Dune Spice Opera, the OST for Dune, by Stephane Picq & Philippe Ulrich
I hope I got those names right, most from memory. Also the X: Reunion and Flashback OST are worth mentioning.
NieR: Automata OST-The Weight of the World
MGS - Snake Eater.
Interstellar Theme - This always gives me Goose bumps. Would've been amazing to watch & hear this in the cinema.
Halo Theme - Nostalgia.
I feel the Halo track in my plums

for games the one song that's stuck with me a lot (and is the most played track in my itunes library) is the ending credits for Resident Evil 3.
And also this:
