I tried turning ad block off and wow that site is cluttered full of garbage. There are comments from people saying that it worked earlier with their ad block on, so it probably just has something to do with the site being overloaded because of the giveaway.

Same. After a while, it shows a "timed out" error where the widget was supposed to be. PC Gamer's site is a crapshow with these things. I can't remember a single time I got it to work for me.

I got to the point of giving them my email twice and doing the captcha (about 10 times) and then it stopped working on the next step trying to submit my info, so I think mine never completed.

But did they just change the name of chapter 1 to the complete edition for some reason and we are only getting chapter 1 or do we really get all the chapters? I don't know how to figure that out.

It activates as "SONG OF HORROR Episode 1" package meaning no DLCs are included.
"SONG OF HORROR COMPLETE EDITION" is just the base game without the corresponding DLCs.

theres no DLC tab in this game. Thats why I think either is the full game or only episode 1 but listed as Complete Edition. 2 images of it:

I'm not sure what will happen because the complete edition on the Steam store is now $30 and does actually give you all the DLC. The old keys for episode 1 will activate just episode 1, but it will be called the complete edition on your Steam account. I don't know why some devs/publishers have to be so confusing.
Either way, if they allow giveaways, you won't get any CV since it was a free giveaway.

The devs replaced the steam page for "Song of Horror - Episode 1" a few weeks ago with a new name and price "The complete edition".
It's a confusing move as they should have just left Episode 1 as is and add the option to buy the "complete edition" separately, as many other games do.
My episode 1 purchase in the library takes me to the "complete edition" store page and actually says I have it :) but its as GarridiN said above, link is given to buy episodes 2-5.

There's not much we can do other than just keep trying and wait for the server to start working again and hope there are keys left. I got it to work once, but it failed again before I was able to complete it.
Edit: I just got the page to load again and it said "You are already waiting for a key from this campaign". So I guess my original attempt went through.
Edit: The email never came so I tried again with a different email and I got a key this time.

After a couple of dozen retries for 504 error, got in, entered email, reentered email to verify, clicked for not a robot, completed a captcha, then got timeouts for 5 minutes, then got in again and got "YOU ARE ALREADY WAITING FOR A KEY FROM THIS CAMPAIGN". Nothing in my email yet.

I just got a key from the new email that I gave the second time, it showed up in my junk folder. The original email I gave still didn't get a key anywhere, so I don't think that one went through.

Yes. But there was a case of similar situations like hitman 2 or some other games. But this one is particular misleading. One thing is sure. If you would buy complete edition from steam store it would comes with all DLC = episode 1 dont have his story page currently = GA with complete edition are wrong IMHO.

I got it, but needed to ask with different email, as on my first email which used on very start of promotion it does not come. Used different one some minutes ago and it comes almost instantly.
BTW: now I think it will be problem as I will not see complete GA (it can be the same case as with Hirman 2 and other games)?

I don't know how giveaways are going to work. Technically, episode 1 is now called the complete edition on Steam because the dev/publisher just changed the name and price. I just synced my account and all the giveaways for the complete edition that people are making right now disappeared. So if someone does give away a key for the real complete edition, we will not be able to enter. I think you can enter if you remove the game from your Steam account. From previous testing, I'm pretty sure you can put the game back on your Steam account at any time in the future because it is never completely removed.

In my opinion you can not create GA with episode 1 only. I guess (I only suppose) there was separate page for episode 1, but it was changed into complete edition. If you would but complete edition on steam you would have all 5 episodes. That is why you can not create GA for this. In my opinion support should make a separate entry for Episode 1 and give it free game and make it 0p (or points from price before change, but it is fee anyway and it does not really mater, then 0 points would be ok).
BTW: I also have at last one other game which I can not GA as it is now absent in store as it transformed to something else.

But if I go to the Steam store, it says that I own the complete edition. I don't know exactly how steam id's work and how to look all that info up, but I think the dev/publisher just changed the name of episode 1 to the complete edition and it uses the same steam id. If that is the case, I don't know if SG can create an episode 1 entry because everything they do is automated through the steam API based on steam id's.

Yes it is a problem how this change was managed be steam store. It was sold as ep 1, and now it is sold as complete edition 9with all episodes). That is why they made this ep 2-5 bundle for previous buyers. But as I said the same was with Hitman 2. if you got free ep1 it shows that you have Hitman 2 and event steamgifts hide GA for this. But it is still not what you would get for 30$ = giveaway is false.
As i said in my opinion SG should make a ep1 entry with 0 points and problem (partially) solved. But i understand confusion with Steam Store and this episode 1.

This is the Steam page the full game, but I believe this giveaway is only for episode 1 and there is no option to create a giveaway here on SG for only episode 1, so you should not be creating giveaways with these keys. Update: See rsobaid's comment here. It looks like episode 1 was renamed to the complete edition on the Steam store and this key is only activating episode 1 without providing the DLC for episodes 2-5. I don't know what this means for creating giveaways, I would wait for clarification from support.
There is a widget on the page to get a key, but it seems like the server is down because it doesn't load and keeps showing "504 - Gateway timeout".
