Activated a key and I got one.

Got it from the survey and got 1 gift right now, didn't get any when I got my game added.

I got a key from the survey AGES ago, and never got an extra copy.

I have a theory too- My theory is that who receives the gifts is completely random. How you obtained DotA 2 and how long you've played are not important.

I think I'm right.

I got my dota 2 key from the official forums, play dota, at that time it came with even 2 more gifts (3 in total) and now I received one copy from steam

i got it from the survey weeks ago and also no free copies for me...it's also true i didn't played it (or even installed it).

i got game from playdota, played 10 hour+ in the last 2 weeks and got 1 key.

Just rebooted my computer and got the message that i got a DOTA 2 gift, so restarting your steam might do the trick for some if you don't see the gift yet :)

Also got Dota 2 through the survey long time ago.
