This game has been in my wishlist for so long, but now, I cant convince myself that it will have a bigger discount...
I believe it's the highest discount it has ever had (sorry for bad grammar)

Should I wait for the summer sale? or just buy it?

Do you think it will have a bigger discount during Summer Sale?

My bet is on games having the same discount, devs are just starting summer a week earlier.

Yeah, this new lowest price ever will sneak in and grab your Summer Sale budget before any of the other games start. :P

The biggest discounts before this one have always been 60% off. If you want to play it i'd say go for it. There's no guarantee that the summer sale discount will be as good as right now.

^ This. Buy now, wait for sale, refund if sale price is lower.
(You can play the game after you've compared prices.)

Of course, you could just buy and play it now while telling yourself, "The amount of money I might save by waiting will be negligible."

Would have been true a few years away, summer / winter sales aren't the lowest price at all. Binding of Isaac even got a shallowed discount a year(?) ago on the sale, than it had on the weeklong-sale before the sale.

Honestly, buy something at a discount you can live with ONLY if you want to play it right away. Buying a game only for it to sit in your library and then see it cheaper later feels like a waste. Now if only I followed my own advice...

If it's not at the same discount in the summer sale, then I would find it highly suspicious that this deal happens to end 14 days before the Humble Monthly ...

I have it on my wishlist as well but I'm going to pass on this sale without even considering it. Because if I were to buy the game I would want the DLC's as well to get the full experience. Currently with this discount the base game and the two DLC's would cost around 16€ which is too much for me to pay for a game that might frustrate me more than entertain me considering a lot of reviews claim the game is unfair. I see they're also going to throw out yet another DLC and I bet it's not going to be cheap.

So you want this with big double discounts, now the bundle part only has -10% https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/3748/Darkest_Dungeon_Ancestral_Edition/

+1, base game can be hard enough as it is, but it is an absolute delight nonetheless, I cannot recommend it enough :)

Buy it and don't play it until the sale starts, then refund it if it's cheaper. The discount is decent to begin with :)

this is the lowest price registered, highest discount of all time

I doubt anything better in the sale.

I think it would be the same price, but it might be more advantageous to buy during the steam sale.
In the past Steam would have cards and stuff tied to spending that you could probably quickly flip. I think the threshold in the past was $10 so you'll need to pick something else up, but luckily there's great prices on so many things.

started to play this over the weekend. BIG mistake, lost a lot of sleep because of it and I have stuff to do in real life as well. Should have waited to play this in July

It is if you like turn-based tactics and a lot of depths and different things to consider. This games needs a lot of figuring out and thinking, if you don't do this it will punish you.

They start early to grab your money before you spend it elsewhere during sales ;-)

Also, there won't better sales for it during coming sales, because they have to wait 30 days between two discounts. (unless one of them is buggy)

About to go to sleep so I can't go and look it up now but I seem to remember the big Steam sales (summer, winter) are exempt from the 30 day rule. (Somebody will correct me if I'm wrong, I hope ;))

Should I get this game? I am bad at turn-based combat but the game looks so cool:(

They're releasing a new DLC for the game on the 19th, pretty sure that's the reason for the sale. Gonna echo what others have said-- buy it, sit on it, and if it's cheaper once the Summer Sale hits then refund and buy again at lower price.

Yup, they are releasing the second major DLC tomorrow + the Kickstarter Musketeer character for free, together with some trinkets.

Edit - they dropped a big patch upon releasing the DLC as well, lots of balance changes and small improvements

You are welcome! Darkest Dungeon is a great example of a 'one-more-turn' game, probably one of the most addictive since Heroes of Might & Magic or the early Civilization games :)

I heard something that games can't go on sale for X number of days after they have been on sale before. If that is true, then the devs can't put the game on sale during the summer sale at all.

I voted no, but I'm not sure, games that are already discounted are most likely to get a price glitch

New Darkest Dungeon®: Ancestral Edition available with new DLC ... it was worth the wait, since original buyers are not getting the new DLC in it, just the new ones.
