15,165 games have been added to your filter list. Let someone else who wants them, have them.
I hide games I know I wont play. Also hide DLCs if I dont have the base game (unhide them if I do get the game). And hide OSTs and artbooks.
I have on occasion unhidden a game when I come across it in a train and give it a second glance.

5k, btw, is there any kind of userscript for this?

for example to make it hide all games lower than "x" value, or to check if they're bundled or not, then add bundled games to hidden list, or hide all games on first "x" pages, hide all dlcs, hide all games with less than "x" positive reviews on steam.. etc.. idk

There is ESGST. It allows for setting games you have ignored on Steam to not show up in your list. But that might require more effort on your side if you don't have a lot of games ignored.

Until about 1 hour ago I just hid games and DLCs that SG can't detect I already own. Because I always though: "what if I eventually discover that there is a hidden gem among all this crap?"
But while I was reading this thread, I started thinking: "why the hell am I doing this to myself?" So right now I'm hiding every shovelware and games I know I'll never play.
I suppose that wasn't your intention, necroshey. But thank you.

16,604 at the moment and growing every time a new game I'm not interested in gets bundled/free.
I used to just use the wishlist page but having as many games as possibly hidden acts as a way for me to learn about good games I've never heard about before especially since I don't follow new releases/bundles and even if I did it's easy to end up missing some hidden indie gem of a game.

20,026 and counting.
As for blacklisting, that's often tempting (especially if someone gives disgusting stuff like hentai in numbers), but blacklisting for giving away games still feels wrong.

I have 14,846 so far. I mainly hid games I wouldn't ever play, but switched to hiding games I wouldn't want to play soon (amongst my already existing backlog, that is). It's why my hidden games on SG is definitely larger compared to my blacklisted games on barter. My reasoning is that when I look for games to play I usually look at SG wins first over ones I'd acquired myself since other people gifted them to me. Just a personal preference.

I've hidden 16,855 games so far. I try to enter only games that I'm interested in, either for myself or for my son.
I generally will insta-hide giveaways that are 5P or less. My theory is that either the game is terrible and I'm not interested in it, or the game is great and I'll just buy it myself. So in either case, I don't need to see giveaways for it.
My blacklist is empty, but I'd never blacklist someone just for making giveaways I'm not interested in. To each their own, and all that.

I have over 6,000 hidden so far. I painstakingly check out each individual game's Steam page unless I can from the title card that it's something I won't enjoy. I hide the the games rather than blacklist.

Hi all! I'm just curious about how many games each of you have hidden on SteamGifts? Also, do you spend a lot of time to hide all the shovelware that usually comes from small indie bundles? I've recently started a crusade of my own to purge the giveaways that I'll never check out even if I win them. So far I have about 50 pages of hidden games.
One last thing, do you prefer hiding the games you don't wish to see or do you blacklist the people that most often create those giveaways?
