Withering Scenery

Past the combined disarray of lucid thoughts that await
Into the field of orchids where paths intertwined and relate
Born from a solemn dread, lateral like the thread
Being weaved into the coat that blankets the spread
Of decay in the glimpse of the field
But the opaque snowflakes blanket and shield
In vivid patterns and a maternal wake
They provide shelter for the infant’s sake
Wilted petals scattered across
Awaiting the blossoming, it comes with a loss
Patterns in the ivy that are deprived
Sustenance from the sun and its perpetual shine
And the harvest beckons a meal so grand
It brings smiles to the face of children upon demand
Who are we to deny them, or deprive them
Or drive them from the asylum of the roots that stem
Amongst our path, they grow to provide the shelter above
It is they that compose our domicile thereof
In their infancy they beckon a myriad of life
A plethora of stillborn vengeance and strife

Purging Silence

Allowing corruption to drip upon their faces
Blind to the true intentions marked, deliberate, blatant
Murdering for aliment, petroleum, carnage inflicted
All follow this stench of decay, so easily infected
With our technology, we our gods in our own respect
The power of giants we wield, and any danger easily detect
A vast dread shall soon befall, the end will be at hand
A conflagration will spread, one that shall be welcomed by the land
We should embrace our existence and treasure tomorrow
For when it comes it brings signs of a somber sorrow
Must the innocent perish just as the sinners shall taste
Or wake up to a barren plain laid to waste
Once clad in a veil of deceit
Exposed to the bitter cold of truth, an arduous feat
Pain, it shall rain from the heavens so grand
Overwhelming human emotion as it spreads across the land
Toil with our technology, cunning and conniving
As hopeless as it may seem, we remain, striving
It is an inevitable pain, one we cannot sway
Our achievements have made us gods, now to whom should we pray

Chaos

I am the turmoil babbled by the whispering wind
I am the tick that steals your essence to no end
The essence, at its furthest point, of eternal blight
Its true intentions, it is I it wishes to smite
Living precariouslY on the brink of demise
Little hope, I predict, will be left to surmise
Now gaze into me, an abyss that is bleak and hollow
Is there any notion of remorse for one to follow
But alas, it seems as though another persona dares defy
Our nature, that which is inseparable, I await to hear her cry
I stare vacantly across the artery unbound
Unsure of the very passage that I deem necessary to mound
Fretfully I lingered, awaiting a sign to revive my assurance
Patiently I trekked over the plains, the sun devouring my endurance
The hours brought only hunger, and the piercing chill
Struck down by the thirst, nothing is left to fulfill
Is human nature but a huge weight upon the soul
A plague upon Earth, one that stains her essence as a whole
Cradled in my arms I slew my faith that was tattered and bare
And just as Dante before the Inferno, I abandoned what hope I had left to spare

Lost Horizons

I arose, ashen and merged with the soil
Aghast to the changes in my plan, how the mortals toil
With my paradise, my perception of nirvana
Perhaps I was blinded, eluded by the flora and the fauna
Now an outcast exiled into darkness, but once clad in light
Dismal recollections, an aura that eludes and speaks of delight
My place rests no longer here, to my creation the key to fate I yield
The cogs of fate I choose no longer to wield
For I may be shunned in their blind eyes
I shall still watch, I love my children, despite my current guise
Juxtaposed are our fates, intertwined and merged
A dialogue with three, I am bound by no story toLd
Beyond legend and a marvel in stature
Dread the day when I endow the rapture
Equate me with the shadow that emerges even in the night
Decrepit yet vast in its perpetual might
I look forward to these infinite possibilities
With so much at my disposal and so few inconsistencies
I am the traveler in this garden of hope you surmise
Marvel as I bring with me the pyre that burns in disguise

Writhing Embers

With a good intentions but murderous wrath
The pyre ensues, self destruction at last
Unable to repent for past sins, feeble and bare
Hoping to grasp remorse, it is shed to no avail
The putrid smell of flesh encompasses the air
It asphyxiates and drowns you in your solemn despair
Where is our technology at our moment of peril
It abandoned us in dire need, like the animals we became, so feral
A witness to my own diminishing, ashes spread, to always remember
Only to be carried along…by the wind, as it and the rain dismiss the writhing embers
I watched the inferno rage
I watched with a kindred spirit, perhaps from the dire age
Pity how I shed a smile, one of forgetfulness and faith for a reprisal
One shed knowing there will be a second chance, despite any denial
It was too late to cleanse their souls
Now its time to recreate, Genesis once again to be told
A portrait sketched of how to create anew
From the infernal ashes, let man spew
Hands submerged inside the man making sand
But for now…I shall let the meek inherit the land

Epilogue

I shall not be so easily disposed of, recall
My pension for destruction precedes my fall
I shall arise, through the chromosomes of those beckoned for a greater cause…
For I am the rancid odor that lingers above the Earth
I am the leech that drains you from birth
I am the withheld by neither boundary nor sin
And my reputation shall spread
...With the progression of the whispering wind
