Also made that once You get past certain point, You can't revert. I mean, If CV changed to less, You still had the same CV, but, You will need to earn the points to get past it anyway. So if You got 6.10 and it reverted You to 5.80, You are listed and treated as 6.10, but You have to gain CV from 5.8.
Oh, that sounds nice

Oh, and also implement autoban for people giving away free games. With the warning that it will happen. And made it to the rules. Giving away given away games should be forbidden.
But what about the game that was given away for free by steam over a weekend two years before I joined steam? Do I not get a chance at winning said game? What if the giveaway was for a country other than mine?
If you mean, "warning people who are giving away currently free games" or "requiring people giving away currently free games to mark them as such in their giveaway description along with a link to the currently-running giveaway", then yes, I could agree.

Yes.

I meant the latter, that currently free games should be excluded. Games that are given away at current time somewhere else. People try to say they are just so humble, they let others get the game. If they were, they would just tell them about the game being given away, instead of making a very small chance of getting said game. Also it took away the called game from someone else, who would get it from original site doing a giveaway, to just use it on SteamGifts. If there is like 10k keys and they are quickly disappearing cause people are using them here, someone who could have get the key, won't get it, cause it's already out of stock.

Ok, thank you for clarifying that! I totally agree with what you said, and apologize if I came across as harsh, upset, or otherwise unpleasant earlier, and I especially apologize if I was insulting. I was rushing to get the previous comment out before doing something and didn't take the time to re-read it before posting.

No, You wasn't annoying at all :) Have a nice day!

Give losers a pop up notification to ease their anxiety over probabilities. Instead of space cat it would be a depressed dog in a party hat accompanied by the wah wah sound.
In cases where someone got the lose notification but then later won due to a reroll they'd get an image of a random guy shrugging in place of space cat.

I was in favor of that, till I started to be a mod xD
Something as simple as recent Steam is learning about this game change would set whole site on fire. Thousands would be marketd as rule breakers, proper winners would get re-rolled etc.

There could be some automatic mechanism to show "potential rule breakers" which need review. But it would be not much different from sending user report with link to SGtools. Plus it should always have some form of human intervention. I was mod in disqus comment section, and automatic disqus filters are terrible. Blocking perfectly fine messages, while allowing swears, crafty way to circumvent "no links" etc.
Like someone is suspended, as they deleted games from account. They write unsuspend ticket, restore games, get unsuspended, remove games as "haha, caught me once, won't find me again". They are found out by automatic script.
How it would handle situation like this?

Ok I'll take your word for it as there will always be "legit rule breaking" for example a few wins in a very short oeriod of time before account is synced or something. But as this is such a simple black/white thing it must be possible. Don't ask me how as my computer knowledge is limited to turning it on and off. But people seem to have scripts for almost anything. Maybe we should ask archibot lol, he'll know.

I'd sit and cry, as I barely have time to do any work around here as moderator :aaa: Not to mention taking care of whole site stability :blobnervous:

Silent overlord
that perfectly nailed my mental image of cg.
saw him, few weeks ago, tho.
a thread where a SG member asked for some help, iirc for a tiny browser problem. the member quickly closed that thread, after 3 minutes or so, cause cg quickly replied offering support.

Anytime anyone used the word "bump" in a message it would be automatically converted to "bump and meow".

Oh God, I was mod on a Risk (the game) site for a couple of years. One day, one of the admins decided that since everyone was constantly making "the dice are rigged threads" he was going to filter the word "dice" to "cookie."
That was all well and good until one of my fellow moderators who ran a clan called "Fire and Dice" came online. His clan name was changed to "Fire and Cookie." Oh God, it was hysterical. He didn't see it as a joke, but the rest of us were dying. He ripped the poor admin a new one. hahahah! I even made him a set of banners and avatars to go with his new name (just to rub it in a little.) I still tease him about that whenever the opportunity comes up. XD

To be honest, I dunno. I guess I don't know the people here well enough to know who I might exterminate... er... :P

I'll treat this post as asking suggestions for the site :D
I'd add the ability to have notes attached to whitelisted users so you could remember why they were awesome enough to get on it

I'd sit here laughing at the humor that gets posted in the forums, and do my best to overlook the occasional negativity.
Seriously, this is a wonderful site, and CG and the other staff do not get enough credit for all the work they do. Thanks, all!

I would try to implement more user suggestions or give a response why its not possible to implement them or why its a bad idea to implement them.
