Things I would do differently:
1.) Calculate how much I will spend before jumping on the idea.
2.) Do not advertise giveaways that people aren't able to enter. It rips people's hearts out when they see a nice giveaway but they aren't able to enter because they aren't in the group.
3.) Plan better. I didn't buy any of the gifts until the New Years, but all the giveaways were planned to end on Christmas. Steam sales are partly to blame. :)
4.) Make giveaways for bundle games earlier. Some of them go free, and then you get stuck with a key that you have no idea what to do with.
5.) Don't make a chart. The chart took up way too much time. And it has so many mistakes.

December was always plain and boring before I joined SG =) We don't celebrate Christmas, just the New Year's Eve, but year after year the feeling of upcoming holiday and celebration around becomes less and less distinctive. Like "Oh, another year gone by, meh.." But here I see more and more people doing some nice pre-holiday things (though it is almost a month before Christmas), which makes me feel like a kid again in all that happy anticipation, which makes the community even greater than it already is =D

Couldn't think of a clever title to use, so I just settled with a generic one.
I was originally planning to wait until a few weeks into December, but I caved and bought some of the games in advance because of the deals, so why not get started early?
I have never considered myself to be a "generous" giver. Other than a few build your own humble bundles, I've only been giving away cheap bundle games. With the holiday season incoming, I felt like doing something extra special for the community - so here is my one-time debut at being "generous". I wanted to come up with an original idea, so here's what I concocted.
My motivation for this idea:
1.) This community is amazing loves to spend money on others. This is but a small token of my appreciation towards the community's awesomeness.
2.) I wanted to do something special for the community this holiday season.
3.) If I saved this idea for next year my wallet would murder me in my sleep.
So, without further ado, here's the scoop:
To date, I have
919397 wins on this site. Therefore, I have created919397 giveaways to "mirror" my amazing journey here on Steam Gifts. Each giveaway will be the same level and same type (group/invite only/public, bundled/non-bundled). However, instead of whitelist giveaways, I have elected to make group giveaways in order to have a wider audience.I didn't really plan this well enough, so I don't have most of the gifts ready at the moment. I'll be banking on the Steam Holiday Sale to have what I want, so hopefully that will go well. I'll be slowly rolling the gifts throughout the month, so check back occasionally. I apologize for not dropping them all here at once, my planning was pretty terrible. :P
Also, something extra for the people who read.
In the process of preparing for this idea, I made a silly mistake.
If I don't get enough people joining, I'll unlock the thread and make it public.
Please bear in mind The Ten Tummandments:

9.) Thou shalt mark the gift as received. (There are quite a few level 0 giveaways here, so I'm way out of my comfort zone. Please don't make me regret this.)
