If you really want it, you should. I would recommend going for the USB-type though. That way, you can use it in the future for the more modern rigs.

Actually USB is worse than jacks because it has to convert digital audio to analog, for that you have your sound card built in, but not only for this obviously, but this sound card is not really good and sound quality tends to be worse, and it has nothing to do with "future", even PCIe sound cards use jacks, not USB, USB has only one advantage, it lasts more, maybe another thing too, you don't need to buy a sound card for it, on jacks even if you don't have sound card it will use the sound system build in the motherboard, which is usually not good.
