Karmaflow OST

The OST is included free with the game, and given that most people want the game for the soundtrack rather'n the game, I see several giveaways for it that clearly state 'it's okay to enter just for the OST' :P

Y'mean the Deluxe edition upgrade, for the extended OST? :)

Or have you just taken to calling the game itself OST (understandable) and mean there haven't been any up lately? :P

Yes, the Deluxe, with the actual OST. The devs know that it is the only worthwhile part as it never even had a discount. Not the game itself; I already finished it twice and the only thing that prevented me doing a third and final run was the performance-murdering purple fog of of World I.

with the actual OST.
Right.. like I said, the OST is included in the game [it was added when Act 2 was], the Deluxe just adds an extended version. :X

In fact, ALL it adds is bonus tracks, making of, and art, it's pretty darn overpriced for what it gives. It'd make more sense if the OST was included, but then, the OST is really the only reason many people presumably buy the base game to begin with :P

Wait, it does? I checked my install folder when I played it, I missed the entire soundtrack? o.0
I need to reinstall this game when I get home…

I couldn't say, I don't own the game personally. :X
Though that soundtrack has tempted me to get it.
Let me know how it goes. :)

If you can live with a puzzle platformer, it is not that bad. But the amount of trial and errors also makes sure that on first play through, you rarely listen to the opera. :/

I suddenly recalled this conversation now. Installed Karmaflow and checked: there is indeed an OST, but it is 12 tracks only. They included the songs with lyrics in them in WAV and 128 kbps MP3. Missing all level music though, apparently, including the Bird Goddess chase.
Although looking at some YT videos on footage of the tour they made with the Karmaflow, it seems like they deliberately left out all level tracks…? o.0
Probably still need to get my hands on the Deluxe content to check. :/

This appears to be the soundtrack listing of the extended edition- bit hard to find a reliable source of information on it :X

  1. Second Data Shards And Meeting The Siblings Tony Kakko, Lisette Van Den Berg, Elize Ryd 6:27
    1. The City And The Chase (Instrumental) Ivo Van Dijk 3:28
    2. The Conductor And The Muse's Statue Marc Hudson 1:40
    3. The Conductors Grief Marc Hudson 3:26
    4. The Haunting Of The Muse Ivo Van Dijk 1:03
    5. The Muse's Lament Alissa White-Gluz 0:36
    6. The Muse And The Conductor - Dissonance Alissa White-Gluz, Marc Hudson 5:16
    7. The Oceanfloors (Instrumental) Ivo Van Dijk 7:17
    8. The Villagers Rowan Hartsuiker 2:02
    9. Conductors World Slide (Demo - Unused) Ivo Van Dijk 1:01
    10. Karmaflow Maintheme (Demo) Ivo Van Dijk 1:22
    11. Meeting The Muse (Demo - Unused) Lisette Van Den Berg 0:37
    12. Original Indiegogo Teaser Music Henning Basse 2:12

Does that look at all like it could be right? =O

Could be. In which case my fear was with a reason: the Bird Goddess chase literally was that ten-second segment integrated into the Bird Goddess & The Twins sung in the concerts. My favourite track is unavailable outside the game. :'(

Feels like that's always the case :(
Especially sucks for a musically-based game like this, though- you'd think they'd be more appreciative of offering a solid selection of the game's music. :X

Honestly, I thought too, that if they charge 15 bucks for the Deluxe content, they add all songs of this musical game.
sigh Why is it that I really want to like this game, but they made everything to let down their fans (and the supporters)? Ah well, no sense on dwelling on it, I guess. Just thought I'll wrap up this little thing that left hanging a month ago.

I know I intentionally hid the older Avernum games 'cause of the remakes, so perhaps that's a factor for you as well. :)
No clue why you'd block the others, though :X

Avernum 1 and 2 have already been remade, yeah.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avernum#Rebooted_Series

I'm hoping all 6 eventually get the treatment, so I've been holding off on them.
At the very least, seems reasonable to expect 3 to be rebooted as well, at a minimum.

I know the complete pack of Geneforge regularly goes on sale for at least 90% off, so you should be good there. I believe the same is true for the older Avernum games as well.

I wanna say both the Avernum reboots and Avadon games have been bundled before, and at a glance it looks like at least a few of them have been 90% off before as well.

So looks like 90% should be your aiming point for any of the Spiderweb games. :)

The complete pack regularly goes on sale for 80% off- that is to say, less than the 90% off the games individually reach. You'll have to see if the bundle discount makes up for that enough, or not.

Think of it this way: It's not like you're going to play them all at once, right? :P
If the cost is close anyway, probably better to just buy the heavily discounted ones and move on from there, getting a better discount in the long run - nevermind that being a safer bet if you're not completely 100% sure of your fondness for Spiderweb games yet. :)

TOP 3 FROM MY WISHLIST

Californium - it was just released and I'd like to try it despite fairly mixed reviews. I've enjoyed Dick's novels (don't know if this is the right word) so playing something based on his work is very tempting.

Novus Inceptio - I have no idea how long I'd be able to play a survival game but this one keeps me interested for some time now. Still in early access but I think it's worth a try anyway.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided - I've played Human Revolution and I was amazed how complex world they've built. I love it in games. And it was extremely playable, just like Call Of Juarez Gunslinger. They said they've improved combat so you don't have to kill anyone now so I just can't wait to try it!

As Deus Ex is an AAA game I decided to mention one more thing. It's not a game but a program - Nimble Writer. I'd like to write a book or novel and this program looks like it could be a nice help to focus on this goal. I've found out about it thanks to some giveaway on SG but I've never seen more giveaways of it since then. Just like the other games :P

The Life is Strange kind of revealing episodes is meh... But oh well, if we want to play we got to pay.
