What makes a game get a spot on your list of best games?

Gameplay.

"Long-lasting fun," which to me includes many of the other options.

If I enjoy it. There's no way to narrow it down to one thing because there's so many great games that are great for entirely different reasons or in entirely different ways. In the end it all comes down to enjoyment, that perfect blend of herbs and spices that makes a game just feel right.

Combat/Replay Value/Customization/Lengthy.

I try to go for games that have these things I mention.

A game that causes Tetris Syndrome.

Fun. Doesn't even have to be long-lasting. If I have a ton of fun for even 3 hours then I'm satisfied.

Fun , Fun, Fun.. and maybe some more Fun.. as long as I dont feel that the time was wasted(which often happens with long-lasting games.. and MMOs)

it has to be a combination of everything. controls, length, difficulty, story, graphics, etc.

if everything is ok, i don't care about price, drm, and other stuff that won't affect gameplay, like reviews.

What I tend to enjoy the most in games is a well built world. That sweet combination of landscapes , lore and, eventful exploration.

I voted long lasting fun. The best games are the ones I want to come back to. Even if I liked some game a lot, if I never want to pick it up again, it's not going on my best of lost.
