It doesn't come with a steam key, but it is technically compatible with steam.

I got one of these an year or 2 ago when I was looking for an Inception movie totem. Bought from ebay, and it costed about $7 with delivery, and the quality was friggin amazing, too - the same thing was reselled for $25+ from people based in the UK or US, without shipping of course. It came with just the same mouse mat, but frankly, I would never use it. It is 1/4 of the size of a normal mouse mat, and I would recommend - unless you are really hopeless to get the mat free, you don't need it. I am sure something with just the same quality can be bought from everywhere around the world for $1 max. Better check their store for interesting things, because after all, everything we buy is manufactured in China. You can find quality products with just a little searching, and much cheaper from their western prices. The mouse mat is just something with a tag FREE with which they hook customers. You can probably get more than it with a little justified shopping :)

I prefer my solution, no mouse pad at all for many years, and I have yet to have a problem.

Same here. Do we really need mousepads anymore? Unless it's one of those super-duper teflon coated jobbies, what's the point? The additional friction was needed once upon a time when every mouse had a ball in it but pretty much every damn mouse these days uses a laser. Presumably the same people who use mouse-pads also have screensavers to reduce burn-in on their LCD monitors.
Hmmm...not sure if I should go and watch Star Wars on Laserdisc on my 50" rear-projection TV or go out jogging wearing ankle-warmers, listening to my Milli-Vanilli mix-tape on my Walkman.

Can my mouse do yoga on it? ATM my mouse enjoys being in Warrior 2 on my steel series mouse pad.
