Is anyone noticing a difference between the download speed of Origin and Steam?
I have just noticed it now, that on Origin, I download just under 1mbps.
On Steam, I download 3.6mbps.

Opposite for me, Origin shows 3.0MBps and Steam always maxes out at 2.7MBps.
Even before I changed ISPs Origin downloaded games just a wee bit faster than Steam.

My average through Steam is 6-8 Mbps. When I downloaded Titanfall I hit 30 Mbps.

Mine is the opposite. My max on Steam is 3.7 Mb/s, that's as high as it will go.
On Origin my average is around 8Mb/s, but I've hit 30Mb/s quite a few times too on there.
I find downloading games on Origin much better.

That's weird Origin tends to lie about speed or used to, not sure if they still do it. The way Origin reported speed was that it would consider the size of the game uncompressed as the size it's downloading, but in reality it would be downloading less since the file is compressed. So let's say it reported downloading 30GB in an hour it would have really only downloaded 22GB in that hour.

This must be based on locations then. Other regions may have more origin servers and others got more steam servers to haggle higher download speeds.

Origin d/l's at about 1/5th the speed Steam does for me. Valve has many servers around the world, including here in China. I'm not sure about EA. They have a Hong Kong store front localization, but that may not be indicative of servers around here.

Steam and Origin seem to run at fullspeed for me, uplay sometimes takes 15 minutes to get from 100kbit to fullspeed (70mbit, germany)
