You didn't do anything 'wrong' per se, just keep in mind that trains are usually defined by being invite-only, otherwise all the linking around is obsolete anyway since everyone can see and enter the giveaway even without visiting your thread at all.

If you don't mind me asking, on the stats page on the chart that shows you your daily odds, what does the blue and grey graphs mean? Odds of the day and odds of giveaways already drawn for the day?

The blue graph shows already ended GAs, while grey reflects still running ones. The blue chance is reliable, while for the grey ones other users could still join/retreat and therefore the probability could be changed.

To elaborate on that point, for those interested and unfamiliar with the topic:
www acts as a default subdomain reference, in situations where an actual subdomain isn't referenced (hence why some sites leave off the www entirely, as it's not technically necessary). As such, when an actual subdomain is referenced, it replaces the www, rather than adding onto it. When you do www.southrobin.deviantart.com, you're effectively trying to call a (www) subdomain of a (southrobin) subdomain- which, unsurprisingly, wouldn't likely be configured properly by the site host. To think of it another way, subdomains act much the same way that paths (ie, site.com/Path/Path2) do- they just show nesting in reverse order.
