Well since it is yet to be released in my region i can pick it up or drop it.

So what should i do : Pick it or dump it for now?

I hate EA's money making policies to be honest.

I don't like the graphics, it's from the first crysis that all say that crysis has the best graphics, I don't get it I can't find anything so good in graphics

The multiplayer seems fun. I won't be picking it up anytime soon, though. I still have to finish the first game.

Well, do you enjoy the franchise? Have you beat the games that came before the third? There are lots of things that can sway you into buying or not buying the game. I wouldn't get it now, but that's just me.

I need a good story and game play, that's all

Lol are serious? Crysis barely has a story and you can find tons and tons of FPS with better gameplay. This is a poor way to spend your hard earned money.

It's a good FPS game, but it's more worth the purchase if you have a great PC. The bow looks good, but it must be a great weapon if i'm going to replace it with conventional guns.

I played Crysis 2 on PS3, and for me it wasn't a 9/10 game (IGN review). The story is kinda flat, there are some graphical glitches, framerate issues and some bad physics, but using a shotgun to kill aliens is satisfactory.
The MP was COD with Nanosuit powers, so it feels unoriginal. It has killstreaks, create a class, and things like that. I even prefer playing COD than Crysis 2 MP. Oh, and there aren't any Barebones playlists (i mean, no killstreaks, no weapon attachments, etc).

Crysis 3 looks good, but i'm not sure if it's going to worth $60. I would prefer getting MGR: Revengeance or Mass Effect Trilogy for that price.
I played lots of FPS games in my life, and i have to say that i prefer Serious Sam 3:BFE over Crysis 3, but i still have to play the latter.

So in short it's 'No' right?

Comment has been collapsed.

Yeah, but wait for a price drop.

It's hard to say 'Yes', considering that there are trilogies of games for less price (Killzone Trilogy, Resistance Trilogy for $40 each: awesome games with all DLC included).
Serious Sam 3 is the best FPS fix that you can get if you still haven't got it yet.

I feel your dilemma dude! But if I had enough money to spend on games right now, I guess I wouldn't buy Crysis 3 anyway. Mostly because EA's policy. And because I know the last one wasn't that much good. The first one was great though.
EDIT: And after trying Crysis 3 Multiplayer beta, I know I would never play multiplayer if I bought it. 'Twas terrible!

I personally liked the multiplayer a lot to get the game.

I usually got bored with COD in a few hours, but Crysis 3 kept me occupied a lot longer.

I skipped Crysis 1 and 2 all together. The 1st one looked too vague: you get this island in which you are free to do what you want. Which usually means you end up completing all the missions in the same way.
The 2nd has the abused New York setting.

This 3rd one weirdly enough has been able to attract me so far. I like the mixed setting and how missions seems to be more "focused", while still leaving freedom of approach. And I love the bow. :D
I can't really tell if it will be good or just a "number 3" but so far I'm still hooked up.

U jumped directly to 3rd ? why?

Yeah bow is great but EA not so.

Crysis 1 looked too much alike Far Cry and I didn't like Far Cry. So much "freedom" that you actually didn't have much to do.
The 2nd one didn't look very interesting to me either.
I'm a bit surprised myself that suddendly the 3rd catches my attention. The destroyed city looks like an interesting setting in which to play. By the videos so far it looks like exploring and navigating the map will be fun. I hope it will actually have some kind of story too. :)
I won't buy it at launch, that's for sure, but I'll keep an eye on it.

yes that means game should deliver a nice game play and story.

for example you could take ACOM and how it completely did not justify it's price tag.

Crysis 2 was a huge letdown for me. The story was a mess, the gameplay was boring and overall it was so forgetable... with a weak multiplayer. Don't get me wrong the first crysis wasn't a ground breaking game, but still had fun with it unlike with the 2.
I'll skip this part for sure...(at least the legal version, ARrr).

Ok after listening to everybody i can gather these facts:

1>Game play is short but Graphics r good.

2>Buying game at launch will be a mistake and reviews are a must read for now.

3>Bow is awesome(LOL)

thanks....

I actually was in that situation few weeks ago , but idk why I decided to not buy

I don't remember what convinced me not to , but after I played the demo which was really fun , I felt like I want this game , but not in this price , so I saw a few website that are selling it in really cool price , you should check that

Because the price ( also in euro , idk why -_-' EA is the only one I have to pay in euros , all others is in $ ) is too much high , and other websites sell it in 70% less! , which is amazing price for that game , so my final suggestion is:

Buy the hunter edition , but not from origin , buy it from other cheap legally place :)

And played just like you , played Crysis 1 and finished barley 2 ( Crysis 1 I finished like 5~6 times , amazing game! , Crysis 2 however only one time so I won't get spoilers from intenet :D , happens on so many game...)

Hope I helped you a little :)

I will leave money think outside it something entire else this.My opinion is that crysis IS NOT FOR CONSOLES so first take only for pc,secondly it is like bf3 even in low is very good in graphics{trust me you will see},third there is no graphical errors{misters i know all and i am awesome yes i talking to you who will try to reply to this} for bugs i dont know but i have never in my life found a bug in games all went smooth only when i tried to use trainers/cheats {so single player will go smooth}. Fourth dont wait long story is fps for god sake there is no game action fps with big story even the best game{i am not talking for only single player games i talk for games which have single player and multiplayer not these you have sp and coop}.Now the best i wait to say it's fps dont wait something different than cod or bf3 or any fps in the world all are the same in gameplay style i mean shoot-kill things.Things that change are knife killing,reactions,movement speed,graphics and weapon sounds which obviously probably most of players just not notice and there is not repetitive gameplay you cant create gameplay everytime to be different.Overall in my opinion positives:good graphics{even low machines},good animations for fps gameplay{knifing,shooting ,movement etc} negative:very expensive for a game{60 euro for god sake what we are famous singers},of course paid dlc{all fps our days} and very heavy requirements even for low{ i have sapphire 7970 oc and i cant play it in full :D} -For me i think you will love it if you dont take it as another fps but as another experience in fps gerne {i hope i have been understand}

The only good Crysis was Crysis and Crysis Warhead. The Crysis franchise has gone downhill and has become a Call of Duty style FPS with pretty eye candy. The new gameplay style, Crytek rolling out rush jobs and without supporting DX 11 at launch pretty much shows there planning to milk the franchise just like CoD. Also Crysis 4 will probably be relased soon after 3 and will be optimized for next-gen consoles.
