I've had to block a few people for begging in the past. People who I've been playing games with and just come out of the blue and say, "Will you buy me X, please?" I ask them if it's ever worked for them and they say, "lol yeah."

It just makes me facepalm.

If people like this put half of the effort they are using to beg into a menial minimum wage job, they would have more than enough money to buy whatever games they want.

I have had 3 people today adding me on steam asking me for invites. Can't really doing anything against this but it gets kinda annoying day after day.

Yes. I have over 40 people asking me for keys on Steam since I was doing the RUSE giveaways. I did it at first, but now I'm getting a bit tired of it. I don't have time nor the inclination to do it. Especially when I'm clearly playing an FPS like BF2 and they keep going in poor english, 'hello r u there i want key plssssssss hello? 4 my brotherk ey??? pls'.

Funny. I don't think he's 13. I think he's copying and pasting the story... I hate such personalities. And if he is - he is too young to play the game according the the "M" sign.
Btw, as a matter of fact - not everybody can make money. Some countries don't have lawns or car washing or shop helping or whatever.

You can see how many requests are on steamgifts group each day .I didn't seen none so far saying "I want to make a giveaway, please invite me."

I'd say if people are getting harassed it might be worth looking at a mechanic to set giveaways to "Anonymous" that would hide your name from the giveaway.

Yeah, I wan't to win too a game, but i don't complain about that. I will hard stand, and some day i will win a giveaway that all would want to win like "super diamond pack" with all games in the world.

It's irritating because some of the massive sales (hi Zacrim, accept my add on Steam if you see this :p) means that I'd rather buy a quick, cheap key off the person and so I try to add them on Steam but... Massive amounts of beggars speaking broken English have ruined any chances of adding them and purchasing the key. >.>

All I want is Portal 2 and maybe Brink!
