I have a question to which I could not find an exact answer. I have searched in the discussions and read the faq, but can't seem to find it.
At what percentage of discount in steam does the game become reduced on this site?
Some say 85% and some say 95%. So I'm confused and don't understand.
Thanks for your help.

I´m not sure it has anything to do with discounts on Steam. It is my understanding that a game/app can have 3 different statuses on SteamGifts;

  • unbundled (game has never been in a bundle with other games or given away for free) ->full CV value
  • bundled (has the game ever been sold in a bundle, be it on Steam or any other official retail site. Bundles within the game itself,
    e.g. a package containing a game + all or a part of its DLC, don´t seem to count)
    ->15% CV value
  • Free (at any given time & by whomever, has the Steam version of the game ever been given away for free) ->no CV value

Good point. Better to know.
I have a question about discounts because of this thought. "Wouldn't the game become reduced if I bought it on steam for 75-80% off, for example?"

It's generally anything around 89% before a game's CV becomes reduced, though I don't know if SG are tight about this.
So, generally if something ends up in a bundle, the CV will be reduced, it doesn't always happen if it's just a good individual sale.

It's %89+(89 included) but weirdly they don't apply that to every game tho not sure are they missing or something else tho but according to my observations/tests it's 89 if am not wrong(I'm sure about that around %70 80 didn't checked to be sure since i don't need it currently) )

Don't forget that its 95% "anywhere" including monetary conversion. What pushes most games over are discounted regional pricing.
