Worth a watch

Finally someone noticed. Been having bad moods just because my usual go to forums did´nt seem to notice or live up to their heritage of being milsim enough lately. Everythings going to shits, just keep your phones straight up into your faces, all will be fine :E

Losing two role models during roughly the time of a month sucks!

heh! Got a laugh out of me at least, but that´s not it. A´m dearly missing the good old days when forums were a place of comradery and knowledge seeking, rather than "have a like here and there".

I´ve made a habit of posting happy birthday dear jesus on every jesus anniversary during the past years.
I do hope for at least one god in existence, so he can listen to Mr. Ermeys interpretation!

True story, he was original a consultant on FMJ, having been a drill instructor in real life. After filming a demonstration where he continuously shouted out insults for two minutes straight while being pelted with oranges, he got the role..

He also came up with a lot of his own dialog, which is pretty fucking insane if you know anything about Kubrick as a director. He got to shape the character in unprecedented ways and nailed most of his scenes in two takes (also unheard of on a Kubrick flick). It's like Ermey was so perfect for the role that he was doing a better job at it than even Kubrick could visualize.

I'm sure right now he's up in heaven, asking about the major malfunction while calling God a mother fucker.
