Hello all, been really enjoying the community here so I've started planning a give away for when i get some money and I wanted it to be a white list only one. So my question is how many people should I put in my white list minimum before i create the train (5 cars/160ish points),about how long should i keep it open, and finally should I use a forum post to announce it or just create it and let the people on white list be surprised. Thanks for the advice in advance.

actually depends you can add people as much as you want in general you can do whatever you want with your whitelist
my suggestion is add first the people you like the people you find them friendly etc....and then make a whitelist giveaway
just saying
have a great day :D

Also.. check your whitelisted friends.. some of them are really nice games but they may

  1. don't join any GAs
  2. already have the games you want to do the GA for...

I don't do too many whitelist only GA but presonally i keep my Whitelist just below 100 and it's working fine enough for me already.

Well the minimum amount of people you'd need to get CV from those giveaways would be 5, so at least 5 on the whitelist if you think they will join every giveaway you create. Other than that it's up to you how many you want to add. Duration should be long enough that people will have time to notice the giveaways. Say a week would be long enough to get the active users to join in, but again it's up to you if you want to make it shorter or longer.

Forum thread is a bit unnecessary I think, unless you want to use the thread for recruiting more whitelist members and have those giveaways as a means to bring attention to it. The whitelist giveaways themselves will be public for everyone on the list, so they won't need any threads to notice them.

I don't really do whitelist GAs. A puzzle is much better, IMO.
If you must, create the game when your whitelist is at least 1, but don't do more than 5000
As for time, I'd leave it open for at least 24 hours, so that people in every timezone can enter.

I like my whitelist to be around 100. Enough that when I do a WL giveaway I'll get enough entries, but not so many that the people I choose to have on my list don't have a real chance at winning.

Judging by what I've seen, you need about 100 to be almost sure there will be at least 5 entries. 50 may or may not get you 5 entries, depends on game I guess, but it's not safe as 100.

It should depend on the games you're giving i'd say, games that were bundled more than once or game that were sold cheap lot's of times could have more people who already own them, so you would need to have more people on your whitelist.
It depends as well on if they join GAs as well or what kind of them they join, which can lower the number, too. I'd say that i'd go with ~100 people, so that when even only 5% of them join you'd get CV for the giveaways, which should be a reasonable number.

For the time, i think it should at least be 24h, if you want then 3+ days, the longer you make it, the more time you give them to see it.
