Nah, it's a terrible joke. He meant to say he used an EXPIRED code and somehow still received diamonds to buy a fictional game. The only clue to it being a joke instead of a typo is the timestamp (3 hours after the code was posted) which is easily missable and you have to know that stream codes are usually gone in a few minutes, so activating one that late is impossible. So, terrible joke.

There are 2 groups of users here. One that doesn't pay much attention and simply uses the codes found here and the other that has seen twitch codes and realizes why they expire so fast. It makes sense why this joke would make sense to the second group and the first would easily miss it. It's interesting how this posting of Lootboy codes by Garando evolved to have multiple layers of insiders.

If somebody don't get a joke - they will believe that it was a legit code, and that it's expired; why would they read following conversation? And if somebody reading this conversation - they are expected to understand this joke. I would not call this joke brilliant, but it's not terrible at all.

Probably the same reason as mine: this convo is currently at the end of the last page of this thread. If you open the last page looking for codes, you're bound to see it. Also, the reply chain right above it ("is that a code? - It's our life.") actually makes sense to almost all users so you would scroll down to see more, and get to this joke.

"Is that a code?" and "Thanks 20 dia" are 2 separate reply chain, why would I think that they are connected and both are jokes?
And yes, I didn't notice "Thanks 20 dia" is a joke at first because one, I don't know Dying Light 2 doesn't exist; two, 20-diamond are not that far off from the usual 5 and 10 on the streams so I instantly chalked it up to a change in format; and three, I don't usually look at timestamps and so didn't realize the reply was way too late.

because those two are answers to the same message, "EXPIRED: expired". Of course those are connected. and getting 20 dia from expired code is impossible, so it is logical to think that it some kind of a joke.

No. He meant a pack that would have cost you 500 Diamonds to purchase. It came out one or two weeks ago, but I didn't give it much attention because I knew I wouldn't have had enough diamonds.

It seems Lootboy has gotten a lot better when it comes to duplicated keys, but if you still have doubts about a key, you can use the group below for those giveaways :)
