it is i am probably spend too little when needed - apart from gaming of course

Is it even worth it outside sales? Not like in sales were great anymore (used to get alot more money out of them).
I have 2000+ cards but terribly struggling to find proper ways without much hassle to automatically sell them.
I tried that shady one which used google chrome, but when i selected a bunch, select sell, it just didn't always do that.

Smart idea, but when there is a good bundle or i got some money and buy games or bundles i can have like 30 games that drop at a time. :x I am guessing 1700 are <10 cents. :p Probably have alot that aren't even sellable at all anymore and just gem them.

From my experience you can automate anything (idling cards and putting them on the market), but you can't automate the steam guard confirmation. So you could automatically list them for sale with steam economy enhancer, but you will have to confirm every single card. At least you can batch-confirm them in the app. Is it worth it? Definitely not nearly as much as it used to be. I'm just still doing it because it's not a lot of work (unless you have to do 2000 cards at once ^^). I'm just guessing here, but I'd be surprised if you got more than 60β¬ out of those. Whether that's worth the hassle - your choice. For comparison: back when this started I got like 30β¬ every month, just from new games.

The software steam authenticator thing accepts trades on a fly (thus by second), and i used a shady chrome inventory helper thing, i never had to confirm each and every trade, it does that all by itself.
The problem was more selling big amounts of cards, it just didn't always register, and especially the last 2 sales i tried.
Yeah wihen there were summer or winter sales, there was money to get some nice games, just the sales cards alone were decent money, but now, you are lucky to get scraps from it, but if i won't do it know or eventually, i'd be stuck with 5000 cards. :p I mean the games still coming.

i still can't believe how many people backed a basically unknown system without even being told if the games we play work on it ( i do want it to be successful) but i would not be having any sympathy if it turns into another Ouya

What exactly is your problem? It was a 4β¬ reservation. We easily could and still can wait for the first reports or reviews.
And even if we bought it and then shouldn't be satisfied, we'd still have the option to return it. So none of your concerns is actually really relevant.
And the Ouya comparison is even more absurd, The most important factor for the success of a system is support in form of developed games. And the Deck already has the biggest starting library ever, even if only 1% of the games should run.
Not to mention that we have plenty of reasons to assume that almost everything will run. I've yet to see devs reporting any issues of greater concern, almost everyone had great success with their games out of the box.

you assume almost everything will run - ok isn't assume another word like think and isn't think a word used when your not 100% sure and can you really just return it because you don't like it? really? i hope it is a success but you should like your just talking in hopes buying it was the right move - which maybe it was
the Ouya was named as a console people put hope and stock and money behind to just fail within a few years - i do hope this is great and can become the pc gameboy but only time will tell but ask yourself do you think you'd like it with only a 1% game rate - even if that is 100+ games

I really don't know what you are trying to achieve here. We already have a database covering how well games run on older versions of Proton. It's pretty safe to assume that Deck will provide at least that.
You also somehow ignore that there are plenty of videos around, showing how all kind of games perform on the Deck. They run flawlessly.
Then there is also the fact that you have the option to run Windows, so Linux compatibility would become irrelevant.
And yes, we can return hardware for whatever reason. It's in their FAQ.
And even if wouldn't be there, us in the EU still would have that right anyway.
So no, not my comments are based on hope only. Yours are based on a lack of information and unfunded pessimism.

why don't you base it on sour grapes because i couldn't afford to get one or something stupid like that - you most likely think it's ok to queue up all night for the latest gadget or phone but i do not throw my money around so easily
well i'm in the Uk so what the EU says won't apply soon (should not apply now if they did the process properly)
few minutes of video doesn't = 100% great running of every game Steam offers like i said i hope it is good and does work well and is the thing to buy
this - unless there is a newer one is the list i could find of good to go games - https://www.laptopmag.com/news/steam-deck-to-launch-on-february-25-check-out-the-list-of-verified-games
i am pretty sure i own 0 of them - i hope it is fun and you get a lot out if it i never said i hope it fails but i was just surprised the amount of people gambling it's going to work as it should and not like one of these crappy tablets/consoles we see every where that is all
also i do know that it's my fault the list of games i have are not the kind of big deals that will be important like say god of war or gta or cs:go are - but i never said bad things about it i want to get one myself (and one for my son) but only after i see real people (maybe like yourself) what it can really do - i never really trust Youtubers (in-case they get paid without saying it's an add)

You don't need to rely on some YouTubers, devs are reporting their experiences too. Including people from Playstation or Xbox.
Steam is collecting some of them on their Deck account on Twitter.
And last but not least Steam will publish their compatibility information before the release next month, so everyone will see.
Best of luck joining the club of Deck enthusiasts later. ;)

maybe i will and maybe i won't (depends on what it is like when released)
so we have a list of about 60 - 70 games rated and by the end of next month they'll have played and test about 60 - 70 thousand i doubt it will be a full list

what's wrong with waiting of course Steam/Valve will say it's great they want your money but i want to see real reviews from real people first

What's wrong with not waiting?
It doesn't affect you. Let people live their lives.

there isn't all i said in the first place was that i was shocked how many people pre-order things these days considering the amount of disappointment that happens with a lot of these things - i'd just meant wouldn't it be better to wait until after it's come out - that is what i will do, i never said there was anything wrong in pre-ordering it - just shocked how many people did (including people who claim to not even have the money saved up yet)

It does sound like you are spreading hate because you can't afford it. :/
Comment has been collapsed.
no i can afford it i just don't throw money around on un proven and un tested things - i mean sure they have tested a few games - but considering i don't play any of them why would i spend my money on it?
what i mean by un tested is the games i play have not yet been officially rated so there is still no guarantee they will work at all
the most expensive version of the deck is $649 which Google says is about Β£484.15 which in the UK is not much at all , if i didn't have that much i sure wouldn't keep wasting money on games and giveaways

Thanks for the clear clarification, i can't remember if i were Q1 before, but as long as it will be april then i am safe anyway,
When i get money in february and march, that should be enough to save up for it, that's all i need.
Although i thought i heard stories that some people could already pay for theirs?
Comment has been collapsed.
I'm curious - any Europeans here who are in Q1? I've got the impression that Europeans weren't appearing in the earliest releases but I don't know where I got that from.
Anyway, I've saved up enough money, there's been plenty of updates from Valve and developers with dev kits working on games, and I only got switched from Q1->Q2. I'm more than ready for this right now.
Comment has been collapsed.
I'm in the UK and got my reservation in pretty early (first hour they were out) and I'm still showing as being available in Q2. I've not seen anything definitive that EU was getting pushed back slightly as opposed to NA or whatever, but I have heard that on the grapevine a few times. I grabbed the middle tier if that matters too.
No immediate rush for me anyway, if it takes a few months longer, then that's just time for Valve to get updates out to iron out any of the issues early adopters are likely to have.
Comment has been collapsed.
Yes. Made my reservation 12 minutes in, and I am still on Q1.
Comment has been collapsed.
haha! I've only put my order in once I had the money. And then I jammed it in a separate account so I wouldn't accidently spend it on booze or games :D
Now I only hope they'd be sending these from within EU for EU orders of course 'cause I've just recieved a package from outside EU and had to pay some major taxes :(
Comment has been collapsed.
That was a wise decision of you, i could learn from. ;) i ordered 2-3 days after the first reservations came out, so not like i didn't had the chance to save up yet.
Yeah US custom taxes in EU, can seriously bite, i had that happen once, but the valve controller and that other thing steam had which i forgot it's name right now, i say with 95% came from the eu, and never had to pay extra taxes, i think it's safe.
Comment has been collapsed.
well, it was from NZ but If i understood correctly it would have been the same on any other non EU contry.
valve controller and that other thing steam had which i forgot it's name right now, i say with 95% came from the eu
yeah, my steam controller came from The Netherlands so I assumed Deck would as well. I'm really curious what is the "ither thing" you forgot the name of. It's not like valve had that much hardware, did they? Index? Steam Link?

I think the steamdeck looks dope, but I already have a vita, a switch and a razer kishi for xcloud. Buying myself a steamdeck when I already have 3 handheld options that I like is unnecessary, right?
Comment has been collapsed.
Well the switch does have some pc games, but with a steamdeck you can play other games (still you got a pc though).
I got a switch, evercade, vita (never played on it still), a ds if i may (could never get a 3ds) but still gonna buy the steamdeck.
There are never too much computers. ;)
