I've got some games to give away, and I want to target those who have < 7 wins, or those with a ratio of real CV >= 3:

Borderlands: The Handsome Collection
Bioshock Infinite

Both are unfortunately region restricted to Europe and Africa.

On a related note: What is the best way of sharing giveaways filtered with SGTools? And am I doing it right by posting it in this category? It can be considered an event..?

Edit: The region restriction is HumbleBundle's Europe/Africa variant

I dont think someone can blame it if something is wrong, regarding your contribution to the site. I entered Borderlands thanks a lot for the chance!

Oh, right! I recall seeing this a long time ago. Good to see it's still active! I'm usually not very active here myself, but I can try applying, thanks! :-)

2 very decent GAs? I think, it's OK to make an event discussion for them. You could also use this thread though. Cheers :)

dont understand your question : you can have 10 000 games and suscribe if your real cv is >3

Mainly 3 reasons:

  1. With so many games it's highly likely that you got games that haven't been played yet, which should probably take priority over accumulating more games in your library.
  2. People with fewer games are very likely of valuing each individual game more than those who have many games.
  3. People with few games who are here on SteamGifts are probably here because they don't prioritize much money towards games, but still want to play.

However, I also added the rule that if you got a real CV ratio >=3 (meaning you have given away games of a total value 3 times or more than you have won), you can also enter.

And yes, before you mention my hypocrisy; I do have games I haven't played yet myself, which is why I barely enter anything anymore...

hope I have well understood your purpose answering this
as far as I know, everybody here can share with people of their choice , on personal criterias, thats why we can discriminate with whitelists, invites, groups... where is the wrong thing? Every gifter can choose and we should respect his willing, I wont complain if someone exclude me for the reason he want even if i could do. I ve seen nowhere he casted opprobrium on users who dont play the games they win? Is not the term of terrorism excessive?

sg tuns in to the hell then some "elite" cast monthly play whatever ur win. it is a disease
sg it about gifting or winning. all others terms - heresy.

There's no need to be vulgar. I don't have anything against people who have thousands of games, but I choose to value those with fewer games higher wrt. giving something away for free. No need to be salty about not being prioritized because you are considered to have enough already. Enjoy that you have, and care for those who don't. :-)

Thank you :-) People can be quite ruthless at times, and I often feel the need to be preemptively defensive in all my statements.

I should probably have specified, but it's HumbleBundle's version of Europe and Africa, so give and take a couple of countries. There are a lot of games that are unavailable to Russia, unfortunately...

Thanks, both games are pretty high on my catching up list, so I entered both. I hope you don't mind.

I have initiated a little discussion about ratio lately. I found the comments interesting, but I might say it got me more confused than before I asked. :)

Anyways, I'm adding you to my whitelist I hope I might interest you in some giveaway one day too. Cheers!

I don't mind at all! :-)

Those comments are indeed interesting! 🤔 I guess it's somewhat the same response I got when I created a discussion wanting more restrictive measurements in hopes of excluding leeches. I was met with mostly resistance, generally being told that it was a bad idea/unnecessary for the community to be further limited. I was also told that this site is a place for game collectors and gamers who do in fact enjoy their 1000+ games. But I believe there are other people who use this site as well, like people who can't afford spending much money on games. Those are the people I really want to target with charity, not the "millionaires" who just want more things for free...
The bots/scripters however is a whole different thing - hate them >:[
I've now tried a couple of solutions, and although it's more work, I think I best hit the correct people through using groups, like Unlucky-7 and Playing Appreciated. I've considered doing some puzzle giveaways too, but I haven't decided on what kind of puzzle yet. I also don't quite know what games I would want to hide behind a puzzle, nor the difficulty of the puzzle. Suggestions?
SGTools seems to work very nicely too (this is my first use of it). I want to do that for the bigger games (perhaps some from this list?) in order to make sure people who win it are more the kind of people who I consider to be more morally deserving of receiving my gifts. After all, I should be free to choose who deserve my money, and Bezos isn't exactly on top of that list lol.

Thanks for adding me to your whitelist! Added you back. I don't enter many giveaways anymore, but I still appreciate it :-)
