how about a sci-fi horse that transforms into a car? or a movie from the 80's there was plenty of those sci-fi ones, one that I remember is about 2 brothers, the main protagonist had a brother who died/dissapeared then a black knight-rider-like car showedup mysteriously, which helped him along the movie. This car would get crushed, explode, etc and then re-materialise itself like nothing happened. The mani char finds out that his lost brother is the one driving the car, and by the end of the movie, he goes away -again, yes- but gives his brother they car keys.. Sorry, no horse involved..
Since you did a jigsaw themed topic, how about a beautiful nice and biga$$ jigsaw of horses and cars for him? tho not sure if he's into jigsaws..

We've had dozens of cats in my life, then we got a dog.
If your dad isn't quite old and is okay with giving extra attention, you can get him a dog. My mother hated dogs, she used to be terrified of them, then we got that little fluffy blonde Belgium shepard, she fall in love with him instantly and actually wouldn't give up on him.

I really do love all animals more-so than humans for sure my fav has to be dogs, I will forever be dogs best friends.!. Arf=p and for gift idea hmmmm maybe a model of a James Bond car since they are usually nice cars and full of geeky gadget goodness.

I actually really like chickens! Although I've never owned one. I have a small collection of chicken... things hah. I've only ever owned dogs.
And happy birthday to your dad! I barely know what to get my dad for birthdays/holidays. He likes fishing stuff so I usually get him something like that. Too bad there's no such thing as a horse driving a spaceship.
