I'm looking for games based on fairy tales or at least visibly influenced by them.
So far I have on my list:

The Walking Dead Season 1, right?

Guy meets girl, guy protects girl from evil.... hmmm the ending wasn't the average fairy tale ending...

It's not based on a fairy tale at all.

Western folklore only? And do they need to be pc-only or are other platforms okay?

Here's one you may want to keep an eye on anyway :3. It's on Greenlight.

Fairy Tale About Father Frost, Ivan and Nastya (kinda dated but deeply steeped in Russian and Slavic fairy tales, sold on Steam)

The Night of the Rabbit

Dark Eye Chains of Satinav / Memoria

Book of Unwritten Tales

Ceville

Heroine's Quest Herald of Ragnarok (free game on Steam, intentional dated look paying homage to the Quest for Glory / King's Quest series by Sierra)

Tangled Tales springs to mind (from 1989, so maybe older than what you're looking for?)

American Mcgee's Alice

Alice Madness Returns

the Path

Grimm

Man you just listed 4 games from my all time top-ten list :) Shame that American Mcgee's Alice is not on Steam! It's a brilliant game. I've just purchased the Path for Steam (I already have a physical copy) and I love playing it again. There are not many games in this genre/theme? though, it's just too twisted/abstract and depressing for most people.

The Trines and Oknytt are definitely narrated as they were bed-time stories.

Knytt Underground is influenced by fairy tales and is told as one - or several. The same goes for all the other Knytt games.

Amanita's games (Samorost, Botanicula, etc.) also share many traits with fairy tales.

The Whispered World and Limbo could be said to be fairy-tale-like, but not in any traceable sense.

King's Quest series if you're into old school point and clicks. Sierra even outright stated they were highly influenced by fairy tales and included things that took after famous tales.

Just make sure to get the versions on GOG because the collection on Steam seems to have a lot of bugs.
