Need some info for Malaysian NS

I'm currently studying in Australia.
I realised that i had been chosen for NS a few months back, but the thing is, the form i checked never showed the date, until i switched to ANOTHER site, only then did it show my date of NS. IN 10 DAYS. Christ. I had gotten all the forms ready to postpone it, and now, i think i'm pretty boned.

Your opinions?

Legend: NS=National f***ing Service

EDIT: I also have to go back to MY because my family booked a trip already to visit my grandmother on December, after my uni finishes. She's sickly, so we need to visit her.

Don't ever check it again. When you check, it's like reminding them that you skip/differed it.
Got chosen for NS too, differed and studying in the States

Legend said postpone it till you're 30. Then they just forgot about you. Well, I finished mine 2 years ago. It's okay, but utterly boring.

Naturally you would ask here as SG is THE hub for everything related to Malaysian National Service.

On a more serious note, just go there and get it over with. Still better than being pulled out of your career later on.

You can postpone, even skip. Just call the guys and tell them you're studying. My friends done it before.

If you decide to go though, it's pretty boring. Basically a long camping trip with fuck all to do. Just bring a carton of cigarrates if you wanna make some cash though.
