Question about Tex Murphy's games

I Wanted to know if the old tex murphy games are anything like the new one, regarding humor and gameplay, i played the newer one and i loved it, but when i played Martian memorandum, it was anything alike and though i like that kind of games i want to play more game like the newer one.

P.S : No potato option for you >:D
