Everyone deals with grief differently. While you may be comfortable in talking to your community shortly after a tragedy, not everyone has the same level of strength to do so. And that, is perfectly ok. We are only human.
You've experienced horrible things and I will not take away from that. I have too. I lost one of my younger brothers and I can't even begin to describe the grief I experienced then. But please remember that everyone handles things differently and to not judge so easily that everyone can handle things the way you do.
We all have our own experiences, and ways to deal with things. Give him time, he'll be back.
All I ask in this situation is that you don't spread misinformation and rumors about Ciriooo, especially on what is unknown to you.

No problem! He's still in hospital at present but I'll provide further updates once I know more information and if he's happy to share it. He is looking to make a return, but ofc has his own matters to attend to rn. We're all doing our best to support him and the community at this time.

I also know this, I'm also on steam gifts and discord and am always good about reading up rules and the FAQ's listed.
I saw you and others asking about Ciriooo, and I thank you all for highlighting this. And yes, it did admittedly take me and other staff a bit to successfully reach out to Ciriooo. I can assure you we have been trying to reach out to Ciriooo before everyone was asking here, and only recently have been successful in doing so. But also please understand that the nature of his grief is raw and still shocking at present.
And I'll be upfront about this. Despite temporarily taking over, make no mistake: I'm a working woman living in Japan, so my time is not the same as some who are on steam gifts/discord. I can't always be available either due to work and life matters that I need to attend to. In saying that I will do my best to make sure everyone is informed and that I'll be on at least once a day. My marriage and to an extent - Golden Week are the exception. Again I will promptly inform people of these when they come up close on my social calendar.
Getting back to what I said RE Ciriooo: Everyone handles trauma, tragedy, and loss very differently. While some are strong enough to inform communities immediately, some people can't. So let's all be understanding with one another, and not make statements about how one or the other can do better because they've been through it, ok?
I hope so too! I can't begin to imagine what he's going through but can only hope he and his family will hang in strong there together.

For those of you not on the discord, I'm one of the moderators and admins of CG Community!
I wanted to let you know the following:
Ciriooo is presently on hiatus, due to personal family matters.
Everyone handles grief differently so please do not hold contempt for Ciriooo for choosing to not reach out to anyone during this very difficult time for them.
In Ciriooo's absence/hiatus, I will be taking over with handing out the steam gift keys for recent winners!

Honestly I'm still mid handover, but until I have everything with me I can't act on things such as issuing keys right away.
I also have my own life, and live in Japan so my timezones might not always align with everybodys so I hope people will understand that too!

Remember to take care of yourself first, then others. It's a tip that most people forget about when they suddenly get a massive load of responsibilities they weren't expecting. I'm sure you'll get a handle on things eventually.

Ok, I'll let Ciriooo know. Its likely for the Cyberpunk winners that he will personally reach out to them, but like I said, I'll check between tomorrow and Friday.
Since Ciriooo said they will let me distribute the keys to the winners, I'll wait until I can conclude the handover. He cannot do this in a hospital in the middle of all this madness.

Hi all, just another update:
Handover with Ciriooo has been cancelled at least for the next two weeks.
RE the matter, I cannot promise that he can honor this due to his familial circumstances. After all, I'm not his irl friend - I'm just a small-time mod in the CG Community server trying to keep you all up to date. I'm not sure if he will be back in 2 weeks. I wish I can tell you all that yes, it will 100% be the case but I simply can't.
I also cannot issue the winnings out of my own pocket due to my own financial situation, and I have already told Ciriooo this hence the initial handover plan (before recent developments).
My recommendation at this point in time is for all winners who have yet to receive their winnings, to mark the keys as not having been delivered.
Sorry that I couldn't come back with better news at this point in time.

The owner who's been hosting the big giveaways is on hiatus. Other staff and members are hosting giveaways with their own or donated keys.
As for when Ciriooo will gift... He's told me 2 weeks at minimum, but I'll be realistic with you when I say this. It could be for a longer and undisclosed period of time. I wish I knew more on the matter, handover didn't exactly on a good note.

I think it's just as well that they don't count on it, especially for your sake. People can get very high strung about free games, seriously.
It's not like they paid anything for the games. They just enter for points.
Once Ciriooo is up to it, if he ever get around to it (I hope his situation will improve but really just for him, SG is just a giveaway site, let's not be ridiculous, people), he can make the GAs again or he can choose to give the keys to the winners outside the SG system if he wants to.
In the meantime people should know they're entering to be part of a group and a Discord community and not for big GAs or they'll get their hopes up and that tends to lead to hostility when they go down.
In any case, good on you for trying to get all this under control. You're a champ and I wish I had a co-mod like you when I was running my own community years ago ;)

That's fair, and a good point to make. Yeah, might as well consider them as canceled for now. Already had a death threat and a regular threat over this by a couple of members, so I guess I found the really high-strung ones pretty early. I've already reported them on steam, here and discord though...
That's true, I wholly agree. We're paying for entries with free points accumulated daily, not with cash. But from what I've seen some people can't seem to make that connection.
I hope he'll be up to it, and that his situation improves. But really it's anyone's guess right now. I know he's said that he'll eventually get round to it and he gave me his word on that at the very least.

All the mods, admins in the CG Community are all doing their best to help out, and am extremely thankful for their support at this time. I'm also extremely thankful to the members of the community who are aware, understand and are also supportive of the situation too.
