Lugum, are you sure that it's an extra 80GB? I actually tried opening the launcher through Steam but I only had to download about 10GB of extra data. I can now enter the game afterwards (haven't played yet, need to step out for a while)

Damn, that's like half of the space that my games' partition has. And I complain when a game asks me for 30 gb.

Gears of War 4 is a 120gb base download...then the updates :(

If it patches files already downloaded its the companies fault that didnt updated a latest version of the game on steam like blizzard does on their format , when you just downloading the latest version of the game and works right after its complete.
If the game requires 150 giga of free space on your HDD , wow thats a really big download

I need to wait until the 17th for internet at my new apartment... So... I'm sad to hear this cause I probably have a billion updates on my PC as is along with many other games to download ;-;
