Lately I have been getting a few friend request from people with 0 Steam level. I just press ignore with those. Anyone ever accepted them? And are they just bots or scammers?

Never have I ever been friend-requested by a bot/scamming attempt, but yesterday I received 3 invites all sending me a phishing link. Crazy.

Been getting them all day. They're the "add my friend to trade with him on sterncamunitee.com" style bots

It could have to do with the new scam going around. These fishing accounts add you so they can check your inventory for anything valuable. If they find something, they will either send a trade request or have a main account send a trade request. It will be a worthwhile trade, but do not take it. It is a scam. Look up steam 999 inventory trade scam.

Got 2 today, I usually accept their invite just to have some proof when I report them after.

Not long ago, Valve changed private profiles to show "Level 0" instead of the actual account level.

I've gotten maybe half a dozen request in the last week. All show as level 0. All are private profiles. All have no steam gifts account. All ignored.

I've also been getting invited to random public groups by someone not on my friend list and not on steam gifts. Mostly ignore these too.

Heaps. Always check they're not on Steamgifts or Steamtrades (using Enhanced Steam), then block those mofos.

I've probably gotten over a hundred of invites from those. They are phishing bots. As soon as you accept their friend request they'll say something like "Hey, i got steam lagg and can't add you for some reason. Please add my main account: (fake link, like Steamccmuniti.com/playerprofile/sdfjoaks)" They are most commonly found if you're bumping a trade on tf2outpost, csgolounge etc etc. Never take a look at those links, they'll send you to a fake steam site where you have to log in and after you log in they got your account!

Never had scammers or bots like that adding me, as long as I recall.
I had a strange kid add me a few weeks back, but he only wanted to trade some csgo skins lol.

EDIT: Nevermind, that happened just now. Damned bots/scammers!

One or more every hour, goes to sleep and wake up with at least 20 adds , many with the name not even assigned. And here I am wondering why would anyone want my worthless account

EDIT : The bots master seem to have a script looking at recent bumped trades on TF2Outpost and a few others and than add those people randomly
