the picture is spot on. It would be interessting what occupations would be more useful then others.
the obvious occupation that have an advantage would be:
- Doctors
- Athletic occupations
- maybe: police officers (general law enforcers), soldires and security guys
i would argue that these occupations could be useful: - Farmers
- Hunters
- Forestry workers
- maybe: politicions, psychologist

Ummmm.... video games... it's kind of my obsession. Without video games, I would have more time to think.... which is bad since I'm pretty sure I would start thinking about my friends (or lack thereof).
I guess I would still have my board games to play with my frien... oh wait F***! D:

I would mostly miss all the people who would be dead.
I would miss seafood the most, probably. And milk. But I assume I would be hungry enough most of the time to find delicious anything I did manage to get to eat.
I would travel and go to great effort to get books. If books became rare, I would be one of the librarians. I would try to join together with a group of likeminded librarians. Try to preserve some learning for the future. Become monks, copying books by hand, memorizing things, learning languages, teaching children...
It would be a very difficult life, but if I was one of the survivors I'm sure it would be a very purposeful life. I would not be bored or filled with doubt about myself and my place in things. I'm not given to fear much, so that would probably not be a constant threat. But I'm not the healthiest guy around. So, "if" I was a survivor is a pretty big "if."

I think it depends on where you live but I'd miss tropical foods, coconuts and watermelon are my favourite. Would miss clean safe water the most, for cooking, drinking, easy washing, it's probably even the most dangerous condition to not have safe water. Also a gun or a knife would definitely be great for hunting/gathering food. It depends on what's between Point A and B if the risk is too high or not, for a 90+% safe shelter at a good spot, I'd go through almost anything for that.
In a real post-apocalyptic scenario, you would never be able to scavenge for survival for long, that's purely a game mechanic.

It's simple, you are a scavenger, your neighbour is also a scavenger, your neighbour's neighbour is also a scavenger, repeat this samething for everyone else that is still alive and kicking it. Do you think scavenging for supplies would last long? There is a limit to resources.
Also, a good way to survive a situation like this is to grow your own stuff from the soil. My current house is actually somewhat safe, it has high walls, a large gate, the backyard (the place where we grow our own stuff) has both of those and a field to the side rigged with spiky plants and other messy stuff, so i think i would be safe from the undead, but the real problem would be other survivors wanting to steal your place from you. Survival instinct would come to priority in alot of occasions, people would go cannibal just to keep going, people would kill others just to have their stuff. The end of it all would most likely be, humanity would die off eventually with stuff like this happening. Unless someone managed to create a safe haven for a large group of people, people who are willing to work together to stay alive. Which of course sounds nearly impossible with how society is today, so expectations for this to happen are actually pretty low, knowing that anyone in the group could just end up stealing things slowly.
The best way to survive is to include gadgets/traps around the perimeter for both the living and the undead along with what i stated previously, if i had any experience making those, i would set an outer perimeter with traps for the undead and deadly/camouflaged traps closer to the walls, so any smart*ss trying to get in uninvented, would get a warm welcome from us. Setup a few watch towers inside the wall to have a good observation point. Have trustworthy/skilled people scout the area without getting themselves caught in the traps. The best location to survive would be near the coast or in an island separated from the mainland. I would imagine rich people who are able to buy islands to have their own safe haven in said islands by now, if anything is to go wrong.

What would you really miss in a post-apocalyptic scenario?
The scenario could be like the walking dead. So no regular food supply. Your live would be basically just scavenging for survival.
