Hi Hi all.. Has been a while since I've posted here @ SG.

I don't think shoe hoarding (collecting) counts as a talent, even though i'm super good at it. . (@=

Sometime ago I found out that I could paint and even restore them. I only restored this painting here. there's a hole visible in her blue sash in the left photo

So do either of ya possess a wierd or uber cool talent that you either never or rarely use? Or maybe use it everyday?

I sense people when they are focused/serious or empty in thoughts or daydreaming or when they have strong emotions or if they utter a mind chatter involving me with strong emotion/excitement. Active also in deep sleep. And transcends space and time.

It is not a talent but a gift: I don´t need more than 5 hours of sleep to be full restored.

It's a famous botched attempt at restoring a painting, by a well meaning, but not very talented person. You can read about it here

I can fix just about anything mechanical, or at least figure out what's wrong with it. It's just something that comes natural to me, even though I don't have any formal training or do it as a profession. I don't think there is a "fixing things" gene, but my dad was a mechanic and a general handy man type person. He did teach me some basic things about tools, but even before then it came natural. One of my earliest memories as a kid was going with him to my aunt's house to fix something. I "borrowed" some tools and went in another room and took apart her exercise bike. I don't know why I did it at the time, but I think I was probably trying to figure out how it works. I can't stand not knowing how something works.

I am one of the brightest improv comedy new talents in my country, systematically chasing Polish professionals with the quality of technique. Lately it turned out I am also quite good in changing people's way of thinking of themsleves to the better, rising their self-awarness and self-esteem :)

Maybe ya should start some type of program there to help people who are feeling down or just random people around ya.. Laughter is always needed.

I'd love to. I'm trying to help people through improvisation - it helped me to get out of the depression, believe in myself, be more active, love myself and other people, accept things that happen and so on. I'd like to help people the same way :) Plus it is a great hobby to do - you can make people happy by being happy on the scene :) The problem with helping people via internet though is that there's no physical contact and in my opinion this is very important part of being a happy man. But I'm open to chat with anybody who will need it :)

I'm apparently a relatively convincing actor, something that I do use from time to time for my own, and other people's, enjoyment. Only used it professionally once, when I had a speaking roll in an advertisement film made to advertise an advertisement company. Not exactly an über cool talent, but it has come in handy at times.

Oh, and I can cook relatively well. I've had to share my technique for making baklava with people from countries where that's a traditional desert.

And I have good memory. Not perfect memory, mind you, but it seems far better than average. My crowning achievement was continuing a joke 10 years after I started it ;)

Hmm.. then ya should be a TV chef.. and if ya happen to make a bad dish, keeping a straight face wont be a problem . hehe

and also the good memory there should have a few recipe books inside them .. and what was the joke. am curious.. unless its naughty lol

It was not even a particularly good joke. It started during the first year of high school, when I was 16. We were talking about what animal would take over the world, and as a stupid joke I mentioned that crocodiles have had a lot of time to plan (this was in reference to a thing said during class earlier that day). Then 10 years later I ended up at a party with some of the people who were there, and continued the joke, as it worked with a bad pun (which was in Swedish).

I have a talent of sleeping in public transport and waking up right before my stop/my place. This freaks taxi drivers out sometimes, I would fall asleep quite quickly and out of a sudden wake up and say "from here take the next exit".

I guess I developed it over the years. Started in high school when I had to take the bus to the city center for 20-30 minutes. Also when I worked at the local TV station I had long shifts (16+ hours) and always a taxi ride home. Could easily squeeze 20-30 minutes of sleep during the ride.

I've been told I'm pretty good at sketching(to the best of my recollection I even had one of my sketches shown off at a school fair), haven't done it in years though since it takes a lot out of me.
I used to have a great mind, top of my class(occasionally of the whole year) in nearly every subject despite only being able to attend school around half a day every week due to my health, I also used to have a really good memory too but neither my mind or memory is all that good anymore.

Is that painting in the picture one you painted from scratch or a restoration? It looks good.

Hope you have a good day s1N. :)

Looking at it full screen I can see it now, looks great.
Sounds like an interesting job, although I think I'd be too stressed out working on something that old, I'd probably get an anxiety attack just being near it paranoid I'd damage it.

I can sing. I can juggle (not as well as I did in high school, though).
I can throw my thumbs out of joint to some bizarre angles. It looks painful but it's not.
