I don't vote for games that I haven't played, and I have very limited interest in Visual Novels (unless they're called OMGWTFOTL).
So, no. Not nominating this one, sorry.

Let's let people decide for themselves based on their own experiences shall we? My personal pick was Life is Strange but Valiant Hearts, Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons and The Walking Dead Season 1 were also strong contenders for me.

Its been said before but To The Moon ftw, its funny how much emotions that brought up. Amazing story and beautiful soundtrack.

I think Papo And Yo`s ending was a whirlwind, at least it was for me. Outside of the feels, it was a very enjoyable and fresh puzzler/platformer.

Valiant Hearts deserves a mention, but it didn`t captivate me as much as the others. The OST, and especially the piano pieces are beautiful.

I can only vote for these as of now but I hope I can add some more games to this category after I play them, looking forward playing Life is Strange, Ori,...

It was a toss up for me... To the moon and life is strange were major contenders but I went for Brothers ultimately as the emotion of that hit home a lot harder for me than the other two. I literally choked up near the end of that. So sorry OP, but I cannot comply with your request.

Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons :D

It's the first time a game actually did get a tear in my eye even though non of the languague was understandable, that says a lot about a game, to bring such a story without actuallly saying a single word :3

Actually... no.
And to actually contribute to the thread I voted for Lisa. It didn't make me weep, but it gave me the feels big time.

I nominated Steins;Gate and nothing in the world can make me change my mind. The second option, as you can imagine, would be TWD

I went with Bastion. The ending makes me tear up literally every time I play it.

How can you not choose Life is Strange for this? I do agree though, To The Moon is a very very close second... maybe even a tie.

Why is this award even a thing?! I ffffucking hate it when games try to make me cry! I'm playing them for fun, damn it! If I wanna cry I'll watch the news or go outside for 10 minutes... <.<

I mean, there are several games that I like which had some aspects of drama in them but I didn't like them because of that- I liked them because of the gameplay that they offered. So if I voted for Devil May Cry 3 or Valkyria Chronicles I feel like I'd be sending the wrong message.
On the other side of the spectrum, I sure as hell aren't giving the Walking Dead any award, ever.

So I guess I'll pick a third option and vote for Bulletstorm since the fact that it is never getting a sequel (and even if it did it would be tainted with EA's usual bullshit) definitely makes me wanna cry.

Don't know, if you agree with me, but I think that people have a subconcious need to experience all sorts of emotions, even the negative ones. Reading sad books, watching teary movies or playing depressing games seems to be a good way of providing oneself those emotions, since you can easily control the situation by simply quitting the activity. There is also the fact that the reason of your sadness is a work of fiction and thus you can distance yourself more easily from it.
The same can't be said about real life personal tragedies or horrible events happening in the world.

But that's just my stupid little opinion. :)

Also voted for Hatoful Boyfriend, cause BBL ruined me completely.
Also DMC3 is the only hack'n'slash, which made me cry.
