Is this a HP Omen desktop PC?
Is the CPU or GPU the one running at 83°C? Assuming CPU since GPU is listed at 45-58 on the GPU-Z screenshot.
Also looking to upgrade your storage or just the essential parts?
Any idea of the power supply your running?
Can you provide the Memory (RAM) tab as well?
If you want good suggestions then need more details. Don't want to buy a huge fan and learn your running a Raspberry Pi for example.

Get a program called speccy, you can view cpu and gpu temps from there and also tell you what type/brand etc the rest of your equipment is, like your motherboard.
Is it a HP or Dell or etc etc one of those companies? Then usually the case is very small and you don't have much airstream thus they get hot more quickly (and you can't even fit a big fan).
Just toss a speccy pic and a picture of your case to the OP, maybe a whole new case might not be a luxury.

meanwhile there are competent and cheaper alternatives on the market like the deepcool ak620 or the fuma 2. this is only a 5600x ... it doesn't even pull 100w, you could get away with a arctic esport 34, bequiet pure rock 2 or the silentiumpc fera 5

If you want to see the difference between a 2060 and 2080 https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-RTX-2080-vs-Nvidia-RTX-2060/4026vs4034
I would go higher if you could (don't know much about AMD's equivelants). https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-RTX-3080-vs-Nvidia-RTX-2060/4080vs4034\
You could upgrade the motherboard/cpu eventually, but not really needed.

https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/geforce-rtx-2060.c3310 this is a way better source than userbenchmark if you want to compare gpus. there is a reason why tech media and tech forums ignore this site

yep, they are even banned on intels, amds and nvidias official subreddits and they love to dunk on critics with cringy statements and own trash "fpfps" measurements :D ... it had started when zen+ hit the market that they flamed about amd cpu, gpu and resetted their scale with trashy metrics that an i3 9100 is stronger than a 10980xe in gaming because "4 cores is enough for gaming" it is a s*itshow ... for gpu if we go with rasterisation it should be in this order: (god forbit) rx 6500xt, rtx 3050, (around here would be his 2060) rx 6600, rtx 3060, rx 6600xt, rtx 3060ti, rx 6700xt, rtx 3070, rtx 3070ti, rx 6800, rx 6800xt, rtx 3080, rx 6900xt, rtx 3080ti, rtx 3090, rtx 3090ti
edit: to be clear, the text above is for userbenchmark, techpowerup uses their reviews to manage their relative performance list.

I don't know how hot an amd is normally supposed to run but if you're having issues or performance issues it could be that the cpu is throttling itself to not shut down because it's already at like 83c at idle temps. I'd check to see if thermal paste is applied properly and if it's still there and if there's no plastic cover you forgot to remove from the cpu heatsink cooler(as those could be indications of what the heck is going on), see what fan you got on top of it, probably and I assume definitely not the stock fan, either a hyper x 212 evo or a liquid cooler. I personally never heard of a cpu running at 83c idle, intels usually crash at like 90 - 100c.
Assuming we're talking about visual games, the GPU is your bottle neck but not enough by a significant margin, they're pretty leveled up otherwise. It's not like you paired a 3090 with 15 year old intel cpu.
So in my opinion, I don't think your problem is with upgrading, I think your problem is that your cpu either has no thermal paste, either has a dead fan, or a fan thats not getting the right voltage so it's not spinning fast enough to disperse the heat of the heatsink, or the liquid cooler you got might not actually be flowing and that'd be another issue, or something else.
PS: This is still a bad time to get a gpu because tarrifs have just been lifted so they basically just became 25% cheaper to sell, hence prices should naturally drop to a certain degree and they've actually begun to drop. To make it worse, the 4090 is supposed to release later this year, so the closer to that date, the cheaper some gpus will get.

well, do you have a picture of your case and the internals? i don't like to blindly suggest something when i dont see anything ... + the jump from 2060 to 2080 is ~35% ... is it really worth it in your eyes? ... as long as you don't play with a high refresh 1440p or 4k in general i dont see a problem with the 2060

Hmmm, Ryzen 5600 X is said to automatically overclock at around 80 degrees.
Thus, better cooling will naturally improve overall performance.
What I am interested in is the RTX2060.
They generate heat of around 78 degrees by default.
If the cooling performance of the case is poor, it will be a drag on Ryzen.
If cooling performance is not an issue?
If you don't do anything, they will work just fine.
First of all, it is a good idea to place the computer in a well-ventilated area to avoid heat buildup.
This year, everything is more expensive than usual in the market.
Unless you have enough money in your wallet, it is safer not to touch anything except for improving cooling performance.

I think you are right. It ran all my games just fine on very high settings (not ultra), so I think I won't upgrade just yet. I do need to fix this temperature. Its a small case with only 2 fans, one being small and no room to add more fans. I need to think of something.

.. and pouring a pint of water into your PC has nothing to do with actual water cooling ; p
PLS! NEVER EVER run your computer for a longer period of time with any panels removed - that way you seriously impede any work your fans are actually doing. unless you´re looking for an easy way to cook your CPU ofc

Meh that's an urban myth.
I mean, I guess you could check if your particular setup isn't so weird that it does that, but I've ran most of my PCs with panels removed for a while and didn't notice any temperature change.

Heh.. it's not optimal.. but cooking the cpu? Nope.. that's not how life works.
Since his case is building up heat, and not getting rid of it, an open side panel and an oscilating fan, is waaay more healthy for his components.
These pre-built cases with 2 fans are basicly designed for failure :p

Ok, so is it the Omen 30L desktop that you have? Because according to the picture I provided at the bottom, it should have room for mounting a fan on the top back of the case (in place of the AIO radiator, which I assume your PC doesn't have):
That might be the quickest and cheapest bandaid, though I don't know how effective that would be in your situation - It may only drop temps 1-3 degrees C or less.
I would check that your CPU fan is 100% when under load, GPU fans are 100% when under load, and case fans are 100%. If not, those can contribute to issues.
Unless the BIOS or some HP tool can tell you what 100% is, then other tools like speed fan are only going to give you the RPM, and you can't know for sure if they're running at 100% unless maybe you know the fan models and look up their max RPM.
Aside from that, you could use utilities to force the CPU and GPU fans to 100%. Also, you could change your Windows power option settings to Balanced defaults, which might allow CPU to run a bit cooler because its not going to run at max frequency all the time, but in that case you will want to go into advanced settings and change cooling from Passive to Active.
If all that doesn't work, replacing the CPU cooler & thermal paste would be the best bang for the buck. I personally have a arctic esports duo dual fan tower cooler (that came with a little thermal paste) that does great with my 5600X and only ~$50, but there's others for more expensive as well.
I don't know that replacing the case fans would help unless they're totally weak or faulty, and a pair of decent ones could run $30 - So I'd just as soon spend $20 more on a cooler that will last.
Check out pcpartpicker.com forums if you want advice from other veteran builders. I have 4 under my belt, though I have only kept 2.

So I just got a new computer and i want to upgrade them. Unfortunately I dont know a lot about the inside of computers.
so please check this image, and tell me what I can do to upgrade.
I already know I need to upgrade my graphic card from 2060 to maybe 2080 or higher, but anything else, I'm clueless. Probably need more fan, cuz its at 83 Celsius right now, and i'm not even playing a game
