I just crafted twice... got two coupons. Don't think I'll do it again. You don't get a choice, but a random game or coupon. So you can end up with worthless things like I do... namely a -50% off Poker Night at the Inventory coupon and similar things.

I crafted coal twice, first got a Worms Ultimate Mayhem -50% discount, then I got Hacker Evolution. I got Left 4 Dead GOTY from an achievement though. :)

So, if I got it right, when I craft 7 coals I must choose between the games that are on the Great Gift Pile of the current day?
I thought it'd give you like a random game or coupom or something... But then I read the rules and it was saying this:
"Coal. Coal may be redeemed in two ways. Either, for every seven (7) pieces of Coal received, the user may choose to redeem the Coal for a Gift from the Great Gift Pile during the Holiday Sale Period; or, each piece of Coal in the user’s inventory at 10:00 am Pacific Standard Time on January 2, 2012 will automatically provide the user with one (1) entry for the Epic Holiday Giveaway drawing. Upon redemption for a Gift or entry into the Epic Holiday Giveaway, the Coal will be removed from the user’s Steam inventory."
Please enlighten me if I got it wrong.
