Wow. Longest train I've seen, and I think if there was one more game I would have run out of points... and I'm picky on which games I spend my points on (no point winning a game I'll never play). Thank you. Oh, and bump!

Thanks! I've done longer ones before, though. :D And some of the events that I've done (like the Trash Tornadoβ’ or various dungeon adventures, or the video games I wrote for SG events) have had bigger numbers. But life has been super busy as of late (new job), so I haven't had time to do anything that extravagant. But I figured that I could at least put together a decent train. π
We've had community train events where lots of people contribute, and a couple of those have gone way over 1,000 carts!

Whoa. Did you say you wrote a game just for an event? That's awesome! I've been debating getting into making a game (or possibly a series). I have an idea for an 8 or 16-bit style RPG, similar to the common JRPGs like the original Final Fantasy or Mana series... but I'm reluctant to buy RPGMaker to do it because I don't want my game to look exactly like 1000 other games on the market.

Yeah, I did a couple. There was "1954," which was a little shooter I put together for the PEW PEW PEW Train event. Then there was the Halloween Highway event this past October.
I did a couple of dungeon adventures using an engine created by one of our members (SeRVER): Adventure Game Dungeon, Halloween 2019 Dungeon Adventure
I've also done a bunch of silly, pseudo hidden-object events with help from another fellow member (dys) in converting them to a format that's at least somewhat harder to hack: Junk Jamboreeβ’ 2020, Trash Tornadoβ’, and the Trash Typhoonβ’ (that one had 226 GAs π).
I love doing events...just not enough wiggle room in the schedule lately. They require a lot of dedicated time.
Also, FWIW, you can customize RPGMaker stuff quite a bit if you're willing to put in some work. The reason that most of it looks the same is that most people don't. ;)

Not gonna make this too complicated...saw that I was close to 9,000 GAs, and in my usual style, I'll leverage any excuse to celebrate with some Steamgifts love. So, I'm not there yet...but after this train, I'll have very solidly crossed the line and then some.
There are 100 carts in the train, and the required level to enter starts with 1 and goes up by one more every 20 carts. It's primarily just whatever I had laying around in my spreadsheet o' keys, but there are a few smallish, non-bundled GAs sprinkled in there, mostly at the end.
Alrighty, no need to blather on about this. Hop on the choo-choo and get some free stuff! You have a week to ride the train, so that should leave you plenty of time to let your points regen if there are quite a few that you want to enter.
Good luck, and keep up the SG generosity, everyone!!!
