so i just bought the new version of duke nukem 3D as i'm a big fan of him... the new version is fantastic with high quality textures and stuff BUT i don't know why in the world it lags like hell, it goes 10 fps, and you can't say my computer is old and slow, i can easily play far cry 3 with 60 fps but duke nukem doesn't work, i tried playing it in window mode, i tried lowing down the graphics but nothing. did that happened to any of you? i would really love to play this game

i know right, i can run lots of new generation games like far cry 3 up to 60 fps, even dark souls pc goes to 60 fps (and if you have it you know it's full of fps drops.)

Not sure how the port optimization is, perhaps you can try the DOSBox version I've heard was included with it.

Yeah, I can understand.

Still, it seems the game itself isn't willing to let you. I've checked Google a bit and not hitting anything that explains the problem you have.

I think there are some issues with AMD CPU. Try to set the game with one core only maybe?

1) After started Duke ctrl-alt-del -> process manager -> processes ->find duke's exe -> right click -> affinity ->uncheck not required cpu's. It's how it works on XP, not sure about w7.

2) Find Setaffinity on the net and configure it to set your duke exe to start with only 1 core.

Sry for my English!

Is it not an affinity problem? If lags are asynchronus try to use 1 cpu core on the game.
edit: Eh...just saw the commenter before me. So there.
