Hi. I'm Seth and im quite new to steamgifts, and have been in maybe 30+ giveaways so far. So i have a question:
Is it possible, after winning a giveaway, to pass along the game that you win? (for example in steam trade).
If i win i would like to give a game to my friend. We've been good friends for a while and i would like to do that.
Thanks in advance for answering my question

Yeah, if you give him the link to the site, he can sign up and try for himself :3

what about if you win and then use the gift you've received to create a giveaway? is that against the rules?

Why enter the giveaway in the first place? There are people who actually want to win the game, and play it.

I mean if you want to play the game, but the feeling of giving back to the community takes priority over the fact that you want to play that game.

So you want to enter a giveaway, and then create a giveaway for the game you won?

That's not giving back to the community. If it were possible (which it isn't anyway), it'd just be boosting up your stats - ie, gaming the system.

I am just thinking that might need to be updated for any packs that give extra copies, eg. a person wins an Orange Box giveaway and already has HL2 and gets an extra giftable copy. I mean the only thing a person can do with an extra copy is give it to someone but under the site rules even giving it to a friend whether it be though Steamgifts or not is against the rules, at least by taking the rules completely literally.

Y...Same for Humble Bundles. These should be exceptions to the rule if for instance i already have 1 out of 3-4-5 of the games from the bundle...

Actually not since you are technically supposed to giveaway any spare keys from Humble Bundles under their TOS (however they have said they are fine with it so yeah...) and you're not allowed to give away individual Humble Bundle keys here either.
Really if you were to follow the Humble Bundle TOS the only game that people got spare copies of from redeeming the key was Cogs from Humble Bundle #3.
