Tasks , it depends on the video most you must watch the whole thing

I only use surveys if there's any available (which is very rarely). By "surveys" I mean the 'real' surveys, not those "give us all your contact details and credit card" ad scams. Shame the videos don't work anymore. :( (OfferToro etc. videos are rare too.)

CrowdFlower tasks are safe and they pay immediately, although they are not available in all countries. I tried surveys as well but they never credited, others were luckier.
Also, you can trade in cards, keys and other inventory items.
Videos are no longer available to me, but I never tried watching just the last seconds, so I can't answer your question. I just muted the sound and did something else meanwhile.

I do the PeanutLabs surveys, since I've rarely gotten kicked midway out of one of their surveys. Plus, the PeanutLabs surveys usually give 80-500 tremor coins per completed survey.

Crowdflower tasks (Mini jobs) are your safest bet. You just need to read the descriptions, they contain critical information on the task. You just need to check the tab often to find some Level 0 tasks to get you started.

Otherwise i gained a few Tremor Coins through downloading apps to my mobile phone.

Don't know about surveys, i always get kicked out of it mid survey. :/
