Some nice prices on GMG (especially considering they have many more regional pricing compared to HB). But buying Lego games is a little bit of a bet considering how many of them were given away for free eventually. Who knows how long until another license expires and they do the same thing again.

It isn't as steep as the old Lego bundles on Bundlestars in February 2017/2018/2019, but it is something, which is far better than nothing...

I didn't think this should have a thread because it's just a store deal, and not a bundle. Thus, a lot of these games will not even get partial CV.

Barter: https://barter.vg/bundle/5142/

Please change the title to [Humble Store]

The following games should give full CV (you'll need to modify them manually, Lex's chart maker automatically puts them at 15%):
LEGO® Marvel Super Heroes 2
LEGO® Marvel™ Super Heroes
LEGO® DC Super-Villains
LEGO® Jurassic World
LEGO® STAR WARS™: The Force Awakens
The LEGO Movie 2 Videogame
The LEGO® NINJAGO® Movie Video Game
LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 Deluxe Edition
LEGO DC Super-Villains Deluxe Edition

From the chart you are missing the following:
LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham
LEGO Worlds

Why wouldn't this be considered a bundle and reduce the CV of some of the items? I honestly don't know :)

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I have no idea about the first part of your question but the (unbundled) games most likely won't get added to the Reduced CV list because usually the threshold for that to happen is 90% off the US store price 😉

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Games get reduced CV only if the bundle price is at least 95% off the bundle /sale price. This is far from that.

Permalink

Right. It's 95% off not 90%.

This is a (store) sale, not a bundle. Calling sales bundles is something Fanatical does most days of the week.
From what I recall, something like $0.80 for a Lego game was seen as a great price in days of yore. Coincidentally, if prices were a third of what they are, with the 20% subscriber discount we'd be at reduced (bundle) CV.

Done!

The following games should give full CV (you'll need to modify them manually, Lex's chart maker automatically puts them at 15%):

So I need to divide all of them by 0.85? Or can I just copy and paste it from the full prices from here?

From the chart you are missing the following:
LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham
LEGO Worlds

I included LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham already but LEGO Worlds isn't available in my region for some reason, so I can't make a chart out of it. Could you very kindly make a chart for it? Thank you!

You're missing LEGO Worlds.

Since it's 85% off and you get another 20% off from the subscription, the final per-game price at 5 games for a subscriber is 12% of the full store price.

Oh my, I'm trying to collect all the LEGO games so I got 5 even though it was a pretty big purchase for me. Now I'm only missing 5 more games excluding the Star Wars ones... (can a LEGO/Star Wars fan tell me what game(s) I need to get? I'm confused)

Lego SW III and complete saga are older, complete saga has story from the first 6 movies while III has story from the Clone Wars show. III also has a nice mode of giant battles. Lego SW Force Awakens is set on the 7th movie

Damn, this is when I wish I had my choice sub active and not paused.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

If you are an annual sub, I'm pretty certain (I've done it when it was still monthly) you can un-pause, make your purchase with 20% discount and pause again. Not so sure if it's a monthly sub.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Nah, I'm only on monthly. I haven't actually paused, I thought I had, BUT, only want two of the games, so I'd be paying the same price for those two even if I added 3 more I didn't want. I'll probably just get LEGO Movie 2 from GMG instead.

I guess when I unpause now I'm bound to the next monthly?

I think I tried that a couple of months ago but unpausing won't suffice. If I remember correctly they only reinstate your subscriber discount AFTER you paid early for the next month.

Thanks for the info.
You should then also keep the discount until the next payment would be due :/

I've replied to Sundance85, but as they point out this would be useful to you too (since you asked!). Essentially, if you have an annual sub you can pause/un-pause as often as you like and retain the 20% discount.

Permalink

Thanks for the info, got a monthly sub, though :/
It does feel kinda inconsistent. If you pay for e.g. the January bundle, the perks should be a active until the bundle you actually don't pay for goes life.

I assume they are aware some people try to wait for the very last moment before pausing in case there's a good Store sale like I usually do and just hope some of those people will then inevitably forget. like it happened to me 3 month ago and then my Classic subscription got renewed for another year 😅

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Just tested this now (since it used to be the case on the old Monthly) and you can still pause/un-pause on the annual sub to get the 20% discount immediately. Presumably this is not the case if on a monthly sub.

Presumably this is not the case if on a monthly sub.

That would explain it. My 12 month Classic plan recently got renewed because I forgot to pause.

So people who pay every month ( / are not on an annual plan) can simply unpause, their subscriber discount gets reinstated immediately, and if they don't like the next month they can pause again right away? Nevermind, your comment was pretty clear you can. Apparently I wasn't fully awake yet 😅

Edit: If so you might wanna poke Menacer and tell them just in case they don't stumble over this comment by accident anyway.

Granted, they are by no means extraordinary games but since they AFAIK (at least the ones I played with my buddies like a decade ago: SW Complete Saga, Indiana Jones, Batman 1 & 2) can all be played coop they are great games to play with younger relatives. And even with friends of your own age they can be quite fun if you try to find all the collectibles and stuff.

But I suppose More enjoyable in coop isn't much of a point. Even Boringlands 3 is somewhat fun if you play it with good friends 😅

Tempted to get the Batman trilogy, Lego Movie and Undercover, though I wish it was the kind of build a bundle where you can grab like 3 games for 5€. That'd be an instabuy.

Thanks for doing up this chart.

I don't mind these showing up for BYOB from humble store in the future. It's been marked appropriately and it's really convenient. I don't think there is confusion that this is a "bundle" in that sense.

The title tag was edited afterwards. It only threw me off for a second, before I remembered Humble doesn't have the same "Pick n' Mixes" pricing scheme as Fanatical. Humble's are always more discount off regular price after 3+ titles.

Still, good alert for those interested in Lego games.
