I think that in general pre-order are bad. You have to buy the game before you know anything about it (paying full price with no reviews) to get some items that should probably have been included in the game anyway. Think about all the poor people who bought Aliens: Colonial Marines on pre-order to get the extra gun and wonder if they feel it was worthwhile. I think there are some exceptions to this, for instance I've got Rome 2 because I'm fairly confident that they won't mess up this game but I still can't really justify the risk I'm taking pre-ordering it for some tf2 items and a faction pack. Given the history of Saints Row I might wait for some reviews before buying that one.

I think the only good pre order was for Borderlands 2, you got Mechromancer for free, my brother got it for 20$, but for 60$ I don't think is exactly "free", and depend too if you play as Mechromancer or not.
I think I will wait and don't get the pre order version of this game.

I am not pre-ordering overpriced DLC for Saint Row The Third.

If you watched interviews, They were working on the last DLC for saints row 3 and had another group working on saints row 4. The DLC was not living up to there usual work so they scrapped it and brought the DLC guys to go work on saints row 4. Later on they took some idea that they liked from the DLC and put them into SR4. This is not a DLC turned into a game, it simply isnt

I like my sequels to feel like a new experience in the same universe. SRIV just looks like more of the same over the top boring shit that we saw in SRTT. It looks the same, it looks like it plays the same, there is nothing new or exciting. It looks like DLC to SRTT, I don't care what it actually is, I am saying what it looks like.

I will likely play the crap out of it, but I am going to wait until I see a proper review/critique of it before I throw my money at it.
That said, really happy volition is able to make and release it. Very nice to see some devs not having to suffer a total loss from decisions their publisher made.

I wanted to get Saints Row IV, the pre-order includes as always some "unique" things but for me Team Fortress 2 skins, the suit, and the place aren't thing that worth, so I'm wondering about the weapon called 'merica, what it does? or they didn't revealed it yet? it's good to be worth?
Also another question, what do you think is better wait and get the game after for less price or get the pre-order? They anyways didn't said nothing about this in game items except tf2 ones will be included exclusively for ppl who Pre-ordered, they just said "Commander in Chief Edition" but who knows if this weapons will be available in a DLC...
