So its dark or my room is dark and im trying to see everything in dark mode, if i enter an GA or discussions- FLASHBANG GRENADE LIKE STARTING AT A 1000 SUNS for 1 sec tha feels like eternity because even as the dark mode loads my freaking eyes and my very soul havent recovered yet
I want a dark mode everywhere thats loads yesterday if possible, as soon as possible; If its impossible (likely, i imagine all extensions will inject onto the page renderer after it renders) they should CACHE site or something

I didn't notice it until now but it does the same thing in my browser too. It doesn't bother me much though.
Googled a bit and you can change the generation mode, this will make it load instantly. Click on the extension and select the More tab, there you should see a filter plus button, looks a bit worse, but good enough in my opinion.

If you're using Firefox, you should select mode Filter, instead of Filter+ (https://darkreader.org/help/en/).
Filter [...] fails to render some pages in Firefox.

On most sites you don't notice this loading at all. It depends on how complex the site is (and how fast your computer is ofc). Honestly, I didn't even realize this was still a thing until I read it here, it's that quick for me.
And I agree that native dark modes are better, ofc, but there's so many sites that don't have it and for those Dark Reader is absolutely brilliant. Been using it for years.

This extension works well and looks good with dynamic mode on most sites, that's why I barely noticed it here.
