site rollback ?

Did the site do a rollback 2 of 3 of my giveaways said gift recieved but now only 1 does it let me open another giveaway about 30mins ago but i did not submit it when i tried to open it again a few mins ago said iv exceeded my giveaways so i looked at them and now only 1 is showing recived.

Probably your giveaway winner reverted the status to not received, you should going to ask them.

i sent emails out again why would they do that do you get points back if you claim its not recieved. This site needs a pm system setup that would work really good or a key holder that auto sends to the winner.

if they had indeed marked as received, you can only change it to not received after a week has passed.

Actually kat, you can remove the mark on the received checkbox without marking it as not received. You just need to "mark it as received" again.

wierd cause it was showing 2 gifts recieved and value was showing 9.98 now it shows 4.99.

Then fakes could wait until the week lock kicks in and chargeback afterwards. I'm more surprised that developer keys like the GAR keys aren't locked as received since they're on your personal win page permanently.

Several reasons. First off, someone might mark it on accident. Some new users think they have to click yes to GET the gift. Others will mark it before getting the gift to make the green bar go away. Occasionally someone will have a game removed from their library due to keys being revoked or a credit card chargeback. Also lots of cases where a gifter ended up gifting a different game and the user marked it as received even though they shouldn't, they need to change it back to not received later...

Lots of reasons to unmark it.

His steam profile does confirm he redeemed the game i sent him and it was the one in the giveaway so im not sure why he would unmark it maybe was a mistake.

bobofatt is talking about why there is the option to revoke your 'yes, I received it' in general, not your particular issue.

But it's understandable, I also had someone once markt it as received, whil I didn't even send anything. In this particular caase, just ask the person why he did it. Through mail, or just add him on Steam.

Wouldn't it be better have support handle those case instead of people removing the mark after a while because they traded/regifted their winning? Or does english-illiterate people and chargebacks happen more often than feeedback fraud?

I too think it should be locked in a week after marking it as received. (And right from the start for developer giveaways)

I hope you get it straightened out. It'd suck if they simply decided to switch to "not". Have you checked the Steam profiles of the winners to see if they've activated the keys yet?

Well, I'd wait a couple days, and if he doesn't mark as received, send a polite reminder. If he still hasn't after 7 days from the giveaway end, file a support ticket. Just be patient, and don't assume the worst until you need to.
