whats up with the blacklisting nowadays?

Don't worry about it, it's only a blacklist, there plenty more giveaways to enter. I was blacklisted last week because I disagreed with someone I know who they are as they have since entered a giveaway of mine. xD

I think 9 hours is way too short to blacklist someone. 9.5 hours is more like it!

I must admit I do blacklist people who don't mark received within 5 days or so. I usually try and contact them first but I think that is a reasonable time to give them.

Who says it's about that? Maybe some do it for your ratio and some always blacklist once you won something from them.

I've done it after like 3-4 days if I've seen the person online multiple times.

9 hours? you could've been just sleeping. You know.. time zones and stuff!

Blacklists are too simple and meaningless - personally I'd mostly use them to mark whomever i come across that blacklisted me.
Yup ... eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth and shazam the economy is working - you need a bunch of oculists and dentists.

So its best to disregard them and return the favor (if you come across) quietly, without making a fuss.
(as it will get you more blacklists, posting these kinds of threads to begin with)

Don't you worry, they come and sometimes go. Just imagine you are a super secret agent in some murky black budget program and if you get caught they won't admit you work for them.

the blacklist is the reason why i have stopped commenting at all. because whenever i commented in the discussions, i got a blacklist increase. probably i'll get it now too

i know what you mean. i don't get enough blacklists nowadays and the few i do gain change their minds a few days later most of the time. =(

To be honest it's way more likely that you got blacklisted because of your ratio / some people wanting to one person only winning once from them. But as in every case - it won't affect you at all if the blackisting users won't make forum giveaways, as public giveaways of theirs are just simply hidden - you don't even know if you miss out any.

Unless you get blacklisted by someone you like and respect, I wouldn't worry about it.
