Yeah, this new level system is extremely discouraging :/ Making it so that bundled games only give a few percent of their value is really stupid and pointless. But well, this site is all about money, not about giving games.

Before the level system, Bundled games gave nothing after you passed the 30$ cv. This is better

Yeah, I know, I was here before the CV change. Still, I wouldn't say this system is better. Bundled games are still considered to be a plague that no one should ever touch. I mean, measly 15% of the price? That's bullshit. Bundled games should give 50% at the very least, because by now even the newer, more expensive games have been bundled at some point.

If you want to get more for giving away bundle games, you can join ratio bundle giveaway groups like Bundlelicious, Bundle Quest or Giveaway Outcasts (though I'm not sure if those are inviting new members right now, check SteamGifts Group Recruitment forum).
Otherwise you have to accept the fact that CV gain is lowered a lot for bundle games and games with >90% discount.

Well, of my last 20 wins, only two have required a Level 5+ entry. The entries seem grouped up into: under 20, about 50, about 200, & about 500. A couple were invite only (forum giveaways), but my biggest commonalities are Whitelist giveaways.
As for why give away games instead of just spending the money to buy the games myself, I do both. Plus, giving away a game can be a nice pick-me-up when I'm feeling low. its a selfish desire to vicariously feed on their joy (instead of their tears, like usual).

Why do you care what your CV is? Give games if you want. Enter giveaways if you want. Post to threads if you want. But stop keeping score. Just like on "Whose Line" the points don't matter.

I've just check ... I made about 20 keys for about 140 points and i'm still level 1. I'm not a greed guy , but i will believe that is fair to be level 2 at the moment . I've never understood how level system's work , but for sure now , i will stop giving my keys.
