So just today I won a giveaway for a game I didn't want, I had entered it mistakenly. I thought it was one game, but it was something else. This is my fault and I have asked the giveaway maker to do a reroll if possible.

I had hidden the game and have marked it on steam as not interested. The giveaway was private and I must have mistaken the name of the game for something else. Again my fault I need to pay more attention.

The suggestion I would like to make is that for any game you mark as hidden on steamgifts the enter button is marked blue or purple or some distinguishing color other then green stating that the game has been marked by you as hidden. Maybe even disable the button like you do for already exists.

I don't know how often this happens, but it would take things like that down to zero if this measure was put into place.

Some visable sign on a giveaway page that the game has been hidden?

An other thing that would be nice is to have some sort of wishlist icon too.

I agree it would be nice to have an official feature for this, but FYI - you can do this with SG++ and it has been discussed before.

I've got SG++ and I've tried this but stuff that is not marked as "no interested" is being removed from the list. Maybe it requires me to fully reboot or something but I've closed down the browser and it still didn't work.

I'll try again later after a full reboot, but if it still happens later I won't be using that feature. Still it should be based on the hidden feature.on steamgifts.

SG++ does both - it shows if it's in your SG hidden list, AND it shows if it's in your Steam not-interested list as well, and if it's both it shows both as separate red buttons. Not sure exactly what is required to clear something out of SG++'s cache if you remove it from either of its source lists though, so let me know if you pin that down.

Just did a full reboot and its still acting up. I found a game called gigachess, and went to the steam page, and marked it as not interested. I went back to steamgifts and opened up the giveaway page it was still green. So I then opened up the sync page and resynced the accounts and went back to the giveaway and hit refresh and still it showed as green. I even hit shift while I hit refresh which should force a new page to be loaded up from the net and not the cache.

I haven't uninstalled SG++ yet, but I will give that a try but it shouldn't really require me to uninstall it and then reinstall it to get something like that to work.

I also don't want to clean my cache because I don't want to be blocked from being able to trade and stuff for 15 days specially if that doesn't actually work.

Right now its bloodsport kavkaz thats showing up with a red "not interested" while not checked off.

I just thought to check the github for the script and found this...

First, thank you guys for all you do. I'm lost without SGPP. Also, thank you for not being leecher friendly!

I don't know much about programming sadly. Recently I decided I was sick of Steam recommending crappy games, so I manually clicked "Not Interested" on roughly 1000 games. Boy do I wish I knew how to make a script to do this! LOL.

Regardless, the "Hide Not Interested" feature isn't doing as advertised :( Everything has been resynced. But, even when clicking on the giveaway, SG displays that I have selected "Not Interested".

Thanks again! Keep up the fine work!

So it seems I am not alone and this has not been patched yet.

Just for kicks, I asked in the SG++ thread, but it seems like the only way would be to delete the related cookies/userdata, which would delete a lot more than just this data.

I tried it but when I hit F12 or hit inspect element all I get is a blank space down at the bottom that has no text and can't paste anything into it.

Is there any specific space I should be clicking or hitting F12 on?

If you're using Chrome, it's just F12 while on a page running SG++, click on the Console tab, then paste the command into the blank line at the bottom after the > prompt and hit Enter. If that doesn't work, you're out of my area of expertise.

I'm using Firefox. Everything I try just keeps bringing up a blank area at the bottom. I'll post in the other thread and see if they can help. Want to know if its still being worked on anyway.
