How hard is to use this for a noob with no programming skills?

If it is anything near the original basic RPG Maker from long ago, not really hard. I remember being able to do a few things and I didn't take much time reading instructions and all that.

It's really easy. And if you want something specific script wise needed for games you make, if you check out the community, you could prolly find a script that does exactly as you want :D

Just the problem with RM2K and RM2K3, is that those are actually illegal to own, unless you bought it in Japan.

I find JRPG's boring at the best of times. When scrubs make them, they're even less interesting with their stock art and childish stories.
This program has also been responsible for a lot of garbage greenlight submissions. :P Die in a fire RPG maker.

Then why not make some yourself?
Also, those are garbage submissions because people who make real games for the program don't use the vanilla stuff, and they know better than to try and sell on Steam.

I've been thinking of getting one of these for a while and try to see what I can do but never got around. This version seems great though, and the price is pretty good for what it can do. I'll be definitely be having some fun with this in the next couple of months!

Glad I saw the sale when I did, or I may have shelled out 70$ in a few months :P If I were you guys, I'd go with this 35$ discount while you can. To my knowledge, it's cheaper than most games at launch (aside from those few indie games that are 20$ at launch).

As a frequent user of the program, if you're ever over creative and want to try to create something like a game, a short narrative, even an interactive story, RMVXA is a great place to start!
Plus once you get it, you always have it.
AND, the community for the program is great! Talented individuals always making new resources for the community to have free of charge, AND, even allowing you to use them for games that you make and sell for money!
If you're in doubt, this would be one of the best times to try and get it!
