Am I the only one scared of saying "thank you" on giveaways? A lot of people use autojoins and have that message automated, I've seen some givers whining about it and I don't want to be falsely accused of using an autojoin scrypt, so I just join and don't say anything. I should start thanking after winning something though. Some people might like it. Maybe I don't thank after winning because I don't expect any thanks for giveaways myself.
Thank you for your statistics though, it takes some time to gather them.

You can never go wrong with thanking after winning, unless the GA creator specifically requested people not to (and I don't recall anyone ever requesting this).

I personally expect people to thank me after winning (also put something in that trend in the description). I won't immediatly blacklist or so (except if I've seen them do "bad" things before (bad in my opinion)), but I find it rude if someone gets a free game from me and doesn't bother to say thanks.
Personally I only leave a thank you on GA's I enter if the creator asks for it, if it's a wishlisted game or if it's a whitelist GA.

Overall I agree with what you say, but I think a group giveaway is not very different in this regard than a whitelist one, especially if the GA creator bothered to write something in the GA description.

I think thanking before a giveaway is a little much. If every person who entered had said, "Thank you" I would've had 12,000 messages in my inbox. I think Thanking after winning is a respectful and polite.

Unless asked to, I never say thanks on entering a giveaway. (Sometimes I'll post something if it's a game I really want or something, and I always post something if they ask for gifs or suggestions or something..)
But I ALWAYS say thanks/<3/etc when I win.

People who win my giveaways and don't say thanks end up on my blacklist. They get a game for free and can't even bother to say anything, it's really disrespectful to the person giving the game away, and they don't deserve any more from me.

Damn. I almost never say thanks after winning and I don't want to be disrespectful at all, I am actually really grateful for every game I win, I try to give back something to the community. I simply don't say thanks because I don't like to read that message when I usually expect an answer from forums. I also think that a lot of people spam "thanks" during giveaways (usually with autojoin scrypts) and don't like that as well, but I don't tell anyone anything about it, because I know some people try to be nice.

There's a big difference to saying thanks for the opportunity with scripts and a thanks for winning. Getting a thanks for winning is never spam and it takes literally less time than actually activating the key, so it's the least you can do to show appreciation.

I've been a member of this site for 9 months. I decided I wasn't going to give away a game until I had won a game because I wasn't sure if the site was a scam or not. Finally last month I won a game. So I decided to do a few giveaways. They have all finished and finally all of them have been marked as received. I decided to take some data from the giveaways just because I was curious.
